Fiberglass Crack on deck

Default Fiberglass Crack on deck

I have a straight crack on the deck of my Stevens 47. It looks like a seam crack, but I don't see why there would have ever been a seam in this location. Looking for advice on what might have caused this and how serious is it. Best way to fix it.

Only thing I can tell from the photo is that the non-skid looks cracked. It does not appear to extend to the sides into the gelcoat. Can you determine if the non-skid is applied rather than moulded into the gelcoat? You'll probably need an expert or a similar boat owner to opine.

All "I" can see in this photo is a horizontal line across the non-skid sheeting ... only, it does not appear to go beyond the sheets butt seam, the disquise filler (caulk) must have come out or been removed. too straight to be a crack in the gelcoat layer
