Default Seattle fishing charter

The wife and I are visiting family in Seattle the week of Memorial Day. I was hoping to get a fishing trip in while Iím there as it will be the first time Iíve ever seen the west coast (first time west of the mississippi actually!)
id prefer a halibut/bottom fishing trip over salmon, but idk what the seasons and stuff are. Any suggestions for a good charter operation?

Obligatory pic of wife since she was mentioned in the post, with a big red she caught yesterday in st Augustine

If you don't mind driving an hour or two, ling cod and bottomfishing is excellent right now.

Allrivers is the best outfit in the NW: Fishing Schedule | All Rivers & Saltwater Charters

Good luck.

If you want to fly fish in Puget Sound, call up Tom Wolf at Puget Sound Fly Fishing. He's great.

Check out most of the charters in Westport.

The smaller, six pack type boats are
All Rivers
Far Corners
Offshore NW

there are also a few in LaPush and Neah Bay. Not sure what days may be open for halibut though.

Pretty easy to get on a 10-20 person boat for rockfish and lingcod out of Westport though. Look up Goldrush. Kevin V and son do a great job and if the weather is crappy, they’d rather cancel the trip than take folks out to puke. And, we get plenty of crappy days.
