"Killer" Kells got his nickname for the deals he kills, or so I hear. He surveyed my boat when I sold it, and I can attest he is thorough and picky. I sold mine for the asking price despite his absurdly low valuation. Whether he's good or not depends upon whose ox is being gored I guess.

Kells Christian is very good. I second the recommendation.

I realize this post is old, but for later search purposes Bunker Hill is a very thorough surveyor in the OC and SD areas. The Detroit guy that is very thorough is Craig Stange. My personal favorite Detroit guy is Glenn Pillsbury if you can get him, but he is usually booked out a bit. He will tell you how it is though and won’t waste money chasing ghosts.

Craig Stange is great for Detroits- his company is called Detroits Only for a reason.

I used him years ago and could not be happier.

Does anyone have contact information for either of the two Detroit surveyors recommended above? I can't seem to find them when I search online. Thanks.
