Default Alaskan Cruise Ketchikan Fishing

I took my sons fishing on the below listed charter with Colby Slanaker. His boat met us at the ship and we headed out. Within 40minutes were on a back bay seeking out smaller Halibut so that my sons could reel them in themselves. We boated 3 keepers after several throwbacks and added a small Rockfish. Since we had seen some breaking salmon, we decided to troll the same bay we caught our Halibut in. Within 4 hours we landed 4 Coho, 4 Pinks a Chum and 1 King. We had several throwbacks as well and called it a day after a 6 hour charter. Colby was a great Captain who showed patience with the kids and put us on the fish. He was very informative about the area and the times of year he targets specific species. If you take an Alaskan cruise and are looking to fish Ketchikan, I would look him up.

I know Colby, he knows his stuff. Used to power troll commercially before running charters.
