Default West Coast Good used quality boats

Looking for a few sources for some good quality aluminum or FG boat as close to a pilot house idea for me. I have limited funds and will be starting all over again with a boat hopefully when this last boat is sold and gone.

Any Ideas?

Any sources?

Where do you start looking?

Boat Auctions?

Boat yards? I saw one up near Marysville in Washington on the west side of the 5 freeway

Other places in the Oregon, Washington or Northern California and even Canada?

Thanks

Coldwater up in Marysville Wa does a lot of custom stuff for the Charters in Sitka. I am pretty familiar with them.

You might try ALMAR in Tacoma, WA. They are now owned by Northriver Boats out of Roseburg. They make a mighty fine aluminum boat. They build for the harbor patrol, sheriffs department, fire departments, commercial fisherman and many others. Check them out -they do a great job.

Are you selling your Harbercraft already?

Good used aluminum boats capable of handling rough water are tough to find and pricey. I love the Armstrongs, Coldwaters, Aerohead or the new North River Offshore, but damn, the prices!

I guess you can always go with the PacNW favorites like a used Seasport, Osprey, Olympic, maybe an older Glasply.

Steve, I've always got my eyes on the local used boat market. If I see something I'll PM you. What is the budget & what length are you hoping to find? What power? - Bob

Andy is right, good boats up here are hard to find. Now if you said you would be satisfied with a Bayliner there are tons of those.

Thanks Guys,

I have a budget of around $75,000. I am also considering the Fiber Glass Boat market again. I could live with a Parker or Osprey or similar in around a 24' range.

$75k would probably get you one of these at 24' or maybe even 26':

I know the salmonuniversity.com guys use these now for their charter services, and they look great, albeit a bit spartan inside. I checked them out at the boat show, and they are pretty stout, with 1/4" plate bottoms, 3/16" sides, tons of space for fishing, and optional items like a diesel stovetop, etc.
