Default 75 foot swell off California Coast

75 foot swell 20 miles off the Northern California Coast, average swell height at the time was 43 feet.

THat's an impressive wave. There was a 94' wave recorded by the sea buoy in the Gulf of Mexico south of Mobile, AL as Hurricane Ivan was coming onshore in the early 2000's.
