I’ve seen enough of these to decide that my next boat is going to be from a small company that cares about their boats and customers especially after dropping 250k +. Staying far away from companies that just crank out boats.

40 warranty claims on a 3 year old boat and 1 year in the shop!? Not good, regardless of the backstory.

This is a bad, sad deal. We don’t know the whole story, but this kind of “quality” is crap.

Wow I feel bad for the guy, that is a beautiful boat....at least it should be. Paying the kind of money a boat like that costs you would think the manufacturer would be falling on themselves trying to make it right. I wonder if Scout will reconsider fixing the stuff like they should after seeing his website?

I bought a new vehicle back in the late 80's and I had 33 repairs within the 12K mile warranty. It was one of the biggest pain in the a$$e$ I have ever dealt with. The final straw was when I couldn't get the transmission out of 3rd gear, I actually bent the shifter rod trying to get it out of gear. I had 12,249 miles on it and the manufacturer wouldn't cover the repair under warranty. The repair was in the thousands because the engine and transmission had to be removed to repair the part that failed.

Solution: Get rid of the "lemon."

Is it just me or does it seem like a poor judgment to go spend time and money after a terrible deal like this to buy a domain, pay for web hosting, write the lengthy complaint AND post all kinds of personal information in those attached PDF invoices?!

Sorry, inside voice... I know...

3 Year Warranty
Scout Boats is once again leading the industry by providing its owners the peace-of-mind of a comprehensive manufacturer backed 3-year limited stem to-stern warranty (in addition to Scout's 10 year limited* structural transferable hull warranty).

googled scout warranty...something isn’t right

The cost of doing that is pretty nominal, less than spooling a couple of reels with line.

You can get a domain for 15 bucks. He likely built website himself using a free template.

If it was me, I would probably pay to advertise to get more people to see it

$100 he could use goole's adwords to drive tons of traffic there, and traffic searching for scout boats.
