Default 2020 GM HD - not near as bad as the 1500

Actually, I kind of like it. Not crazy about the grill but...

It's "ok" and I'd probably buy one. But cant say I love it like I did the 2014 trucks, 2015 SUVs debut.

Not that I'd necessarily run out and buy one, but looks/style wise I still think for 2019, Dodge has everybody beat!

From the article, it appears that the Allison is about to become a 10 speed.

While we get to see the truck in all its bold glory, Chevy is still staying fairly quiet about technical details. Two engines will be available: a gasoline V8 with a six-speed automatic and a Duramax turbodiesel V8 with a 10-speed automatic

I've got a Ford, but the front end of that truck looks awesome.

I do like it. Not as much as the current ones, but they do look damn good. HOWEVER

I sure hope this "10 speed automatic" they are talking about IS an Allison. If not, it's over. The Duramax without it's Allison is useless in my opinion..

Edit- Oops, found another article stating it is an Allison. Rock on! 10 speed Allison it shall be. Now we just gotta wait a year or two to be able to drive them....

It's going to have to grow on me. Hopefully the real thing will look better than this rendering.

It's absolutely hideous!! I am a die hard GM truck fan and very happy I won't need a new truck for while! That front end screams Nissanota

They desperately need a "No fake hood scoop" option.

Actually the hood scoop is active on the diesel. It draws something like 40% through it.

I don't really like the hood scoop either but at least it's real and apparently does help with power. GM has never been hood scoop happy so I gotta believe it does add performance. I don't think they've even scratched the surface of what the L5P is capable of yet. I think I read somewhere that almost 60% of the air comes from the hood now and is considerably cooler than getting it out of the engine compartment. But yeah, they could get rid of it and it wouldn't bother me at all.

The real question is are they planning on catching up with Ford on options like adaptive cruise, etc. For that kind of money there shouldn't be any option they offer that you can't get on this truck. Not a fan of the grill but maybe it will grow on me.

This new truck style is ugly and I wouldn't dream of buying it, and I'm a GM guy for over 40 years now. Thank goodness I bought a new HD in 2016 that should last me 20 plus years like my last Chevy did.

The straight on photo of the front is tough to like but man it looks great in that side profile picture. I love the aggressive change and the deviation from the 1500.

I was looking at getting rid of my F-250, for a Chevy or a GMC. I might reconsider after seeing this. My Ford F-250 sucks ! Bought new, professionally maintained. Never again. After this peek of the new models from GMC, I will be looking at a year end leftover.
The Toyota is in my sights. Does not have the design, or all the accouterments, but they just won't let you down. Have owned two, and they still are driven daily with multiple hundreds of thousands of miles. Ford looks good, but if reliability , and satisfaction could only stand alongside the looks department, I would be all over the F-series.
My experience has been that they Do Not stand behind their product. All you have to do is check out their stock price. Junk Status ! Now ask yourself, Why do you think that is ? Do you think it is from millions of satisfied customers ? Or do you think it is from a million dissatisfied customers who have bought their products, and are very unhappy with the product they bought for tens of thousands of dollars ?
You bought, You own it, seems to be their motto. Sorry about the rant, but this has been my experience with purchasing a New F-250 pickup. Never again !
