Default How much to ask for OBS F350?

Will be putting my truck up for sale soon; I have a number in mind, but wondering what your guys’ thoughts are.

1997 F350 4x4 Standard Cab Long Bed
41,000 miles (yes, you read correctly)
7.5L/460, 5spd manual, 3.55 gearing
Eagle 16”x8” rims w/ Goodyear Silent Armor 285’s
Full Banks exhaust w/ headers & Flowmaster Cat
FULL brake job front and rear 5k miles ago
Oil changed every 3-5k, t-case/trans/axle 10k ago
Rhino Liner in bed w/ WeatherGuard box
Kenwood stereo with good speakers
No body cancer; some chips & scratches
Not a garage queen; some surface rust underneath
4th owner, purchased roughly 10yrs ago with 17k
Bought on eBay from S.Dakota; flew out/drove home
Used as spare vehicle and for truck stuff

Awesome truck you have there. Have to find the right buyer that really wants that year in that body style. Probably 9 to $11,000 to the right person in that condition and miles.
I own a ‘94 Lightning and a ‘95 F150 4x4 with a 5 speed that I purchased new. Love the old body style.

Nice truck, low miles. I don't know much about the 7.5.

All I know is that Craigslist guys are proud of their OBS 7.3's. Same way for the Cummins. Truck will have half a million miles, ragged out, 12 valve Cummins, $15,000. Then you spend an extra $3-4k for a transmission.

I'd bet you could get 10 for it. Maybe more for that classic Ford truck collector guy

The 7.5 (460 big block) is reliable and solid as an anvil; but by nature, sucks a lot of fuel. It’s got a lot of low rpm grunt, but it’s an old school setup and just doesn’t compare well with what’s out there today.

Thanks for your guys’ replies!

At best that's a $2500 truck where I live. And that's 2500 Canuck bux so more like 1800 greenbacks. Now if it had a Powerstroke in it then its $6500-8000. I love Fords and won't own anything else but I'm sorry, the 460 was a notorious piece of crap, no matter how many gadgets and geegaws you have hung on it.

Condition is everything. Super clean 5k. Rust and scratches take it down from there. Sold a ton of them.

are you sure it is not a 100k odometer that has rolled over. Can't remember when they added the extra digit.

My buddy just bought a 96 F 350 with a diesel 45k miles mint condition for $4500. Yes it was a steal

Yes, I’m positive. I saw a CarFax report when I bought it with 16,661 miles and it’s a 6-digit odometer. When I first bought it, there was not one bit of corrosion under the hood...or anywhere. Every bolt underneath the hood was shiny.

IMO 10k. That would be a hell of a duck truck with a ton of utility.

Thats awesome; my truck was a unicorn even 9yrs ago when I bought it- the only thing it was missing was the Powerstroke. It still served me very well for a part time vehicle.

So do I; 100% why I bought this one. When I was younger, I had a 1995 F150 4x4 short bed which I had a 393 stroker built for, built transmission, 4.10’s and Auburn limited slips in both ends.

Unfortunately I think it will be a bit of a hard sell. I had a F-250 with a 460. Good news... It had plenty of power. Bad News... It would pass everything except a gas station. With the Diesel craze, older gas trucks are just a hard sell. I'm thinking around $3K. Anything more than that and you have done real well...
