Akins Ford in Winder, GA is selling Ram 2500s for $47K with diesels. He's just east of Atlanta out by Athens. He has a total of 374 Ram trucks in stock. And something like 132 SuperDuty trucks in stock. While he may not be in your market, he is a guideline of what's out there.

I bought a 2016 mega cab 3500 limited with 7 miles with a sticker of 88k and was out the door at 56k. I am surprised how much I have liked the truck from switching over from GMC.

Can't compare otd prices as sales tax differences can be significant.

In Canadian money? A coworker of mine paid $43k for his Tradesman within two years ago; 4x4, 4-door, Cummins.

Tell us more about this purchase, you are saying you bought a 2017 Ram 2500 with a cummins for 41k out the door tax tag and title. I have to say i have trouble believing this one. It must be a totally stripped down model or something? Single Cab? 2wheel drive? I shopped the world over in 2016 and bought a tradesman for 47k out the door and that was the best i could do. Mine is fairly well equiped crew cab, tradesman, but i would not want to give up anything let alone 6k worth of things I do not even think you can get them with roll up windows and such. Must be more to the story.. You can typically buy a tradesman with backup camera, and 5.0 uconnect and backup alarms for around 43,000. That is 10k under MSRP. With taxes added back in you are going to be around 47K. Maybe you had a trade in or something so you did not have much in the way of taxes?

I did purchase the truck in October of 2016 so at that point they were looking to unload older inventory for new. Plus my wife is a bulldog when it comes to negotiating.

I dont know what to tell you. Its a 2017 Tradesman with the Cummins. 4 door, 4x4. No cameras, etc. Tradesman.

Here are 2 trucks I found by a simple bing search. These are even a 2018's.

One is listed at 42,400 amd the other is at 41,800. That is with no dealing.

If you take 41k in 20.00 bills to either, they will sell you the truck. I could be wrong, but that is what I did and that is what I paid. I even told them I wanted the 942.00 option for 4 oil changes a year for life added in also.

That's not even close to an otd price though. Nc's modest 3% sales tax adds $1250, some states are more than double that. Then the dealer fees, tags, etc and that 42k is at least 45k.

I’d even take 45k OTD. I cannot get any dealers around me in the Tampa Bay Area close to that. 51k OTD is the best I have gotten on a tradesman. Even after showing them those trucks posted above.

Yeah, Florida is 6% plus $420 registration, so a 42k subtotal will have 3k in state fees that you have no way to negotiate, probably close to 600 in dealer fees, and if FL is one that applies taxes before rebates are added then they get you for even more. The dealers down there also seem to think you are incapable of leaving the state, so they think they have a captive audience and can charge as such.

I have a 2015 CTD Mega Laramie 2500. Pushed the oem tires to 60K. Right front wore unevenly. Other tires were comparable. If applicable, entire DEF system was recalled. I had recurring problems with the DEF system, until it was replaced under the recall. If dealership did work, they should have addressed this recall as well as a few others. Latest is a recall on the tailgate latch/lock.
