Call the Michelin, BFG, Uniroyal (one in the same) 800 number and explain your situation.
They will likely refund you money for expense but not lost time.
Or if you make enough noise they may upgrade you to Michelin at N/C for the additional out of pocket expense already incurred.
You may have to take this one to a customer service supervisor.
I bought them from Tireman in Bowling Green OH, had them balanced again in at Tireman in Maumee OH, again at Quality Tire in Chattanooga TN, and replaced at Fausak Tires in Mobile AL. Keep in mind, though, that I havenít test driven & approved anything yet. This abomination may not be over.

I've got 10K miles on a set of Nitto Terra Grappler G2's and they are showing zero wear. Been happy so far.

Yes they did. The new set is incredible. No vibration at all. Whatís even better than that, Tireman (where I bought the original set) called this morning and said they would reimburse me for the extra mounting & balancing fees. It took a while but everything worked out.

Glad that worked out! My brother and my old man both run them and rave about them.

On the other end of the spectrum....
i have a set of Nitto G2ís that are absolutely terrible.
4 times thay have been balanced, the last by a shop that does a lot of ďlargerĒ tires that has done a ton of our work.
They Suck, contemplating just biting the bullet and going back to a Michelin highway tread since job sites are about as off-road as I get anymore with having a side by side for the camp / hunting.
my truck is often my office, loud mud treads are not an option although the set of Toyo M/Tís were one of the best Iíve ever run on a heavy truck for wear and overall ride if that could be used in the same sentence.
guess Iím getting old.......

My buddy is a tire dealer and he spoke to the BFG rep at a trade show and told him that the bigger sizes were having problems like what you described and wearing prematurely. The rep told him that BFG changed the rubber composition a few years ago that caused these problems. The rep was not happy with the change but said the powers to be had done it to keep costs down a while back.

I had BFG' on every one of my trucks for the last 25 years until the last set. When I first started with them, I was getting 50-60k miles out of them. The last set I got rid of at 28k and that was after alignment and rotation/balancing was done before mounting and during use every 5k miles.

Sorry to hear of your issues. I buy ONLY Michelin LTX for my trucks. My Duramax came with the LTX AT2 and I love them. Had the LTX M/S on my 2500 Avalanche and they were incredible.

had the same issue as the op last summer. The ďbouncingĒ started at about 65 and lasted through about 81 or 82. We had just moved so I didnít buy through my usual guy (Dillard88 on here) and had to use one of the national chains as I was in a bind and hadnít found a reputable local shop.

Anyway, had the tires put on and noticed problem next day. Assumed that the chain had just screwed up so instead of going back to them took it to the dealer with the idea to just pay the money and get them right. Left for FLA a few days later and still had the problem. Stopped at another dealership on the way down, still a problem but neither dealer had brought up that the tires could be defective. Dealt with it until we got back home and took it to a local tire place where they explained the tires were essentially out of round and they couldnít balance them (not sure why neither dealership told me this).

Went back to the chain I bought the tires from ready for a knock down drag out, surprisingly after the manager rode with me he offered to replace the entire set. He said he would put another set of bfgs on but if they were bad he would replace them but only with an equivalent nitto (which they had been pushing the whole time). I thought this was pretty fair. The 2nd set of bfgs has been fine, he did say he got them out of a different warehouse so maybe from a different batch.

i was pretty disappointed that such a high dollar tire would have this problem. Iíve had just about all the brands of atís including probably 4-5 sets of bfgs on other trucks. Have always liked the bfgs best.

if you get a good set I think the ko2ís are probably the best atís on the market. Make sure you buy from a reputable shop that you know will stand behind them and work with you in case you get a bad set.

Yep, years ago that same tire was the best around. Then when I needed to replace them both dealers said they don't sell them any more. He said because ya gotta buy 20 tires to get 4 round ones. Running Toyo ever since.
