Default Million mile club

A friend of mine stopped in to say hi yesterday after dropping off some campers. He is a professional transporter.

2007 dodge ram quad cab long bed.
Just turned over 1 million miles! Regular maintenance schedule except for an exhaust manifold. Head has never been off. Transmission has never been touched. I would say he got his money's worth!

I scanned the mileage on my obdi scanner because I couldn't believe it! and should have taken a pic because it blew my mind.
It is a manual 4x4

My 01 Dodge never flipped. I have been stuck at 999,999 for two years! Cummins and Dodge were really cool when this happened. They gave me a bunch of engine parts and a lot of encouragement. Automatic 2wd. The second photo is the actual truck.

Cool! The only vehicles I've actually seen in person were the old Mercedez 300d series.

That's driving almost 145,000 miles per year.

When I saw all 9's on the mileage I would have sworn it was BS.

That's a lot of time in the seat

Can't beat those Cummins. Only bad part is it's surrounded by a Chrysler body.
Great event !

Yeah but when you're racking them up that quickly, the body and interior don't have as many years on them as most of the typical used high mileage Cummins with old beat the hell bodies and interiors.

Very impressive, says a lot about cummins. I have a 99' suburban work truck, pushing 250k. I use it every day for my pool business.

Great event !

I bought a '99 a few yrs ago when I bought my current boat. I did my research and bought it with 230k miles and a couple minor oil leaks. I fixed the leaks myself and kept it for 3 yrs and ran the mileage up to 270k with no mechanical issues. I would not have hesitated driving that beast to California.

I just got tired of having to cut it off at the drive thru, the dash falling apart, and the TRUCK ride. I would buy a newer, quieter one though.

Does Dodge or Cummins provide the 'MILLION" door badge? Never seen one before, pretty cool.
