04 superduty with 5.4gas.not as much power as diesel but enough to get the job done.my last truck was a diesel and would pull anything but very expensive when it went to the mechanic.

Don't have a pic, but it's an "01" Ford Supercrew 4x4 with a 5.4. It has the ARS helper system on the leaf springs, and goes from around 15 mpg to 6 when it drags the boat.:roll

2004 Lincoln Navigator Ultimate 4WD. 32v 5.4 liter v8 with 300 HP. It's no diesel workhorse but it does tow the boat in style. Has every option including navigation, heated and cooled seats and a rear dvd player for the kids.

Note how large the boat or truck looks depending on the angle of the photo. The boat is actually larger than the truck.

I used to tow it with my Silverado SS, but sold that for the 08 Tahoe with more carrying capacity. Boat have done pretty well towing, tahoe was slightly better though due to a higher gear

whats the price of diesel over there right now?

swinbourne 09-18-2009 01:12 PM

C BISHOP,
I got rid of my diesel about a year ago. It was almost $5.00 a gallon then. Now it's about $2.55- $2.60 and gas is around $2.40. About two weeks after I got my Tundra the price a diesel dropped about $2. I was not very happy about that considering that was one of the reasons I got rid of my diesel.

That tundra is awesome. I also like the lines on your Triton 351, What's top speed with those Verado's?

swinbourne 09-18-2009 01:57 PM

Thanks for the compliments on the boat and truck guys. Top speed with 2 people, half a tank of fuel and good conditions we can get around 50mph. With only about a quarter of a tank, 2 people and great conditions we have pushed her to 53mph.
