Default Paint & Body work

I'm looking to have some paint and body work done on my truck. I am in Plantation so someone in the Ft Lauderdale area would be preferred. If anyone has used a company they were happy with please let me know.

Not local to you, butt not to me either, Bomnim Chevrolet in Kendall, Colorado was hit on the side by 3 deer, flawless repair, place is a madhouse witth used new and repair cars in the same area, but the quality and use of Chevy parts was great.

It's been a long time, but the body shop at Mullinax Ford in Coral Springs did an incredible job on a car I had fixed.
It was a car hit at the end of the rear quarter and included damage to the trunk jamb. Something that actually needed to be fixed, not just parts changed.
Result was perfect, including a color blend on a really heavy metalic teal green.
I'm picky, and I was very happy with the work.

most major shop just want to do quick collision work , this is were the money is, move them in and out quick. They don't even want to look at doing restoration work. if you can get them to do it it will sit on back burner for months.

small shops will do it but again it will be in there months. they tend to have problems with their help. their money runs out and then they start using your deposit to pay off the project before your to get it done,, think pyramid scam with bondo. the next thing you know the shop is closed up and if you lucky you will get most of your car back, half finished. you will neve see your money again

big buck resto shops will do it but there is a waiting line, months down the road AGAIN.... when finished it will be a nice looking project but your back account will suffer.

its very hard to get a good body shop. I have been working on cars for years ( late 1970s)and only ONCE did I have a car come out of the body shop on time and budget.

I've used 21st Century Auto in Deerfield Beach a couple of times the past couple of years and have been extremely happy with the service. Greg (Owner) is a fisherman and great guy to work with. Would highly recommend them.

14 NW 2nd St just off of Hillsborough.

Are there actually still choices?
In central FL I think Gerber has bought out about every place around.
Almost as many Gerber signs as Walgreens & 7-11.......
