Those of us that had a CJ or a YJ, then a TJ knows the bigthing is the switch from leaf to coil springs made the Car MUCH better across the board, like day and night.
From the photo, if it were mine, I would ask $12.5 and take slightly less. If it were a TJ, we'd already be talking, I'm looking for another TJ to use in Florida. A old stock one as it is not likely to ever go off road. Sorry I sold the 03, the JK is just too nice, Susan is taking it over, getting shipped to the SD house in the spring. Another like the one on the left, bone stock.. The one on the right hadn't yet been lifted, winch installed etc etc, it lives here in SD now.

He did the Weber change and the HEI... Anyone who knows YJ's knows that it may not be EFI, but it's a vast leap from what it was. I had a early 90YJ which is the year they made the change to EFI.. Day and night from the stock set up in every way.

How about my XJ? 2001 60th Anniversary Edition. 166k. Interior is a 10, exterior 9.5. Maintained with open checkbook. Wired for towing. 4.0 engine that runs perfect. Getting ready to list it, Thinking 12k?

Nice looking Yuppy Jeep. Problem is as someone stated a leaf spring square headlight jeep is the least desirable.
$7500 is what I would guess and you would have to sell it to a non Jeep person. I picked up a stock TJ for $4500 last year.

I own a 91 all stock Renegade yj drive it almost daily has 250k miles on it. Bought It a few years ago because I considered them the last true Jeeps, I wanted leaf springs. Mine has 4.0 EFI, a/c, automatic, hardtop, few other pluses, C-channel front bumper, has the body package. I don’t like the TJs, owned one. Those AMC YJs are probably the least desirable, being non-Efi and a few other things, parts aren’t as available from my understanding, not sure if that’s really true. Good looking Jeep though. i find Jeep prices vary by location But generally bring more than NADA or KBB

That's hilarious, you think yuppies drive old Jeeps? I am guessing offroading for you is driving your Audi on a gravel road.

It will sell for 7500. Its clean and looks nice. Yjs are the least desirable unfortunately, but clean and rust free will bring the money. I had someone offer me 9k for my beat and starting to rust lifted tj. It isn't for sale, just sits in the driveway and a neighbor wanted it. I should have taken it at the time.

$7500 would be a bargain where I live. You would sell it for $9k here in a day.
As for XJ Cherokee prices? Look on Bringatrailer.com. Nice ones are bringing good money, under 100k miles in excellent shape will bring close to $20k.
Modifications reduce value, but not so much with YJs. I like to buy them completely stock, but a lot of other people out there like a turn key built Jeep like the OPs. Most for sale here are hodge podge disasters.
