Have you tried to get GM to do a buyback? I think you will get hammered on trade in.

Used vehicle prices are really strong right now. See what Carvana will buy it for, you might be surprised.

You can open a ticket, but good luck. GM said mine was working normally and refused to rebuild it. When it finally crapped out at 52K miles, GM had no choice but to rebuild it under warranty. That fixed the issue and it ran great until it was totaled.

Opened a consumer ticket last week. My thoughts were with low miles would get better trade in value than waiting a year.

The shifting issue is different from the shudder issue that is resolved by the triple flush. Btw, they fixed mine via triple flush in 2016 now the problem is back but out of warranty. I have the shifting issue on top of that.

I bought my 2020 RAM in Feb of this year for $44K in Feb of this year. In April I tried to dump it as I was working from home anyways and realized I did not need a huge truck payment to go to the grocery store. I tried to sell it to several places but all of the offers were around $33-36K which was too much of a gap for me to eat. Since then I was hit in a parking lot (a-hole drove off) and the truck needed a new quarter panel, and the truck incurred some dings and dents mostly from being a city truck. I recently heard that the truck market is crazy right now and figured what the hell I will take it down to car max after seeing what used ones were going for. I got $42,500 for it with body damage and now 15,000 on the odometer.

The truck market is insane right now. just dump the thing while you can. Also in most states if you trade it in you only pay sales tax on the gap between price you paid for the new truck and trade in value of old truck.

Like its been said already dump it. I sold a 17 Tacoma to Carvana. I had 3 months left on my lease. They bought it and gave me a check for $900. They turned around and sold it right away on their site for the cost of a new one. Some people must have failed basic math.

Just sold my 2019 Ram Laramie to my local dealer and made $2,500 in the process. The used market is getting top dollar right now. Get your payoff in hand and see what they will give you for it outright, or trade it in and then the tax implications are minimal. I wasn't planning to get rid of my truck, but with the cash I made on it it was a no brainer for me.

This is a great point. I'm paying $1,000 a month for my X5, which is a great vehicle, but I use it once a week and we don't take the road trips we were planning to do with it because of COVID. I should see what I can get for it...

Its totally worth it. I bought a Tahoe for $8K and it does everything I need it to do. I’ll break even in 8 months.

Did they do the fluid exchange? This should fix your problems unless the torque converter is bad.

so tell me why my 355 hp v8 2016 GMC Sierra doesn't shift nearly as smooth as my moms Q7 with an 8 speed transmission. very disappointed in GM. They should have used ZF like every other mgf.
