2015 GMC Sierra Check Engine Light
I'm curious if anyone else has had a check engine light come on for transmission codes P0700 & P0711 on a GMC Sierra and what the actual diagnosis and fix was. From what I am gathering, it is a common problem. The truck is a 2015 6.2L with the 8 speed tranny and has about 64K miles on it.

This is exactly what I came to the conclusion was the cause - a bad tranny temp sensor. Figured it would easy to replace, about $400 bucks out the door. Took it to a mechanic and he looked up the codes and said, "the top repair for those codes is to replace the transmission". I immediately became suspicious of this. They took a free look at it anyways and said it was the throttle body. Needless to say, I have an appointment to drop the truck off Monday at the dealer.
