Default Ram TRX. 702 HP, 0-60 in 4.5 seconds

Starts at $70k, $80-85 nicely equipped.

https://www.ramtrucks.com/trx.html

I'll be honest, I'm thinking about it.. but the only way it makes sense is if I can buy at a similar discount to a regular ram. My 2019 stickered at $60k, but purchase price was significantly lower.

Raptor might be getting a run for its money.

Chevy needs the same thing.

heavily equipped that thing will be pushing $100k, it's heavier than the Raptor. It will be interesting to see how it handles off road. In the end it's still a Dodge/Ram, I'll keep my Gen 2 Raptor and wait for Ford's response with the Gen 3

They won’t discount these.

If anything there will be a markup.

You can build and price now. While it is technically possible to be north of $95k, unless you're just trying to click every button, a "nicely equipped" model is $85-88k which is about a $20k premium over a similarly equipped 5.7 model.

That's the big question. While I have no doubt you'll see them on dealer floors at $100k+, that doesn't mean anything. Dealers in S Florida were pricing Jeep Gladiators at $10k over sticker, even when you could order them at invoice.

I haven't HEARD of any limits on dealer allocation, production, etc yet which would push up prices.

Still, good move by Ram. Now we'll see if they actually come through with the Wrangler Hemi.

Dealer up the road has a Raptor with a $122K sticker on it. If you’re going big, go all the way.

Big ram fan and have had 4 ram trucks since 2013...... with a current 2019 ram 2500 cummins....I honestly don’t see the functionality here with the TRX other than go fast to the gas station. Tow rating at 8,100#; payload at 1300#; gizmo galor and gremlins..twin supercharger that will need maintenance regularly....just buy a hellcat or Tesla model3 for the go-fast days.....then a truck for Monday - Saturday.

its to compete with the raptor, they have had that market all to themselves and its in the FCA playbook to hellcat all the things

meanwhile GM has plenty of hardware in their parts bins to make a proper contender to the Raptor and the TRX but they choose to sit on the sidelines and the only thing they ever came out with in the past have been lame cosmetic packages

I don't see how a supercharger setup is any more maintenance than a twin turbo setup on every Ford truck.

I hope it is cheaper than that. I bought a new 2019 RAM because it was the cheapest, not because it was the best. I was 32k out the door for 4x4, crew cab, hemi, running boards, lone star silver edition. A comparable ford or Toyota is was 7-10k more.

I would be interested in this truck if it was ~45k, but if i am spending that type of dough i would want a Raptor.

You completely overlooked the off road purpose of this truck.

Ford drivers are the slowest of them all around here in TN. If it's a truck and slow it's usually a Ford and an old man behind the wheel.

There is NO WAY you'll see that for under $100k. Awesome truck. My daily driver is a 2020 Ram Rebel in red.

No offense, but you can't be serious?

My Ram Rebel, 95% loaded (missing one or two options) is $62k sticker. I paid $47k out the door because it was a demo with 3k in miles. They took $15k off because the owner was driving it as a demo and they were losing sticker value "rent" on the truck at like $700 a month.

Having said that, this thing will be $85k easy base and as I mentioned, probably $100k with markups. Also, the comparison to the Raptor is like comparing a poodle to a pitbull. Raptors can go $90k loaded and they're 450hp vs 700hp of the TRX. Twin turbo V6 vs blown V8 lol. If I'm paying close to $100k I want $100k worth of engine and truck.
