Default Broke down on test drive

had plans on purchasing a new truck. Went on a test drive. We pulled in a parking lot to switch driver. I started backing up and it stalled. Would not restart. Just kept cranking over. After sitting for about 10-15 minutes it started. Engine light was on then went off then back on.

We left.

Should've taken a video.

Also, thanks for confirming Toyota for my next rig.

LOL, damn wish mine would’ve done that on the test drive. Would have saved me a helluva lot of headaches.

My 2019 Sierra Denali was a pain in the ass it’s first 3 months. Been good since but GM initial quality is the stuff of nightmares.

they are supposed to tell me what was wrong today. When we switched drivers, i did smell a slight burning. But there were no noises or anything. On the way back to the dealer the engine wasn't as smooth as it should be. But i'm not sure if that is the cylinder deactivation. I was able to feel that on a different chevy I drove.

I honestly believe after 2009 GM quality and reliability has gone down hill.

A faulty idle speed control circuit may allow the engine to stall

True, but they should never just crap out like carburetors did. There is nothing to be out of adjustment.

To do oil changes or change H2O pump and timing belt service. The occasional brake job.
