That dinging will never aggravate you again...

Your Western union solder splice has one wild hair on the right that could poke thru your tape job and ground out.....just so you know..

No, its to trick the SRS / Air Bag system that the air bag is plugged in. I have a SRS coil / clock spring open circuit. Just can't fix it right now...

I do have a kill switch / relay wired into my truck that is tied into the intermittent wiper function. Ie: intermittent wiper have to be ON for truck to start.

Don't need to do that. Just plug in a trailer light tester. Shuts off the auto start/stop. You're welcome.....

You need to visit one of the Jeep CJ, Willys or FJ forums some time. Simple as you can get but what a PITA for resolving many issues.

Because the laws wouldn't allow the vehicle to be sold (much of the extra stuff)... airbags, emissions stuff, safety stuff

And because people the majority of the market wants the other extra stuff, at least based on what sells.

While there are certainly a lot of gimmicks on vehicles, I don't think airbags would qualify as one of them

Makonnen: what make truck/year? Just so you realize you have no driver airbag in the one position that needs it most. I suggest you fix it soon for your own safety.

The dinging sucks. I get it and I tip my hat to your ingenuity. I’m typically not one to preach but believe it or not- we here care about each other and I’d love to see you install an airbag. Speeding doesn’t kill. A quick stop does.
