Default Auto and Boat Portable Battery Charger Recommendation

My 20 year old Schumacher 5/10/20 amp charger is on its last breath. Looking for opinions and suggestions for a replacement.

Schumacher still makes essentially the same unit but I also like the form factor of the NOCO Genius units. My only beef with the Schumacher is that it has “some” basic intelligence and if a battery is totally dead it will throw an error code instead of shoving some juice in it to get things going. Which makes me have to reach for my even older 40 year old Schumacher to get the party started and then finish with the newer model. Lol.

I don’t need to jump start a Mack Truck yet id like at least 15 amp output or better in a small form factor (not a cart).

What say you?

schumacher sc1359.

Amazon Amazon

amazing amount of technology for the price tag. I use it along with a 1 amp constant rate plug in (looks like a wall wart). Does a great job with desulphation and general charging all the way up to group 31's.

I just got the Schumacher sc1360, because of have a Model A with a 6VDC battery. I have not used it enough to give honest opinion, but have charged a group 31 and group 24 that just needed a top off before winter storage. Went from a Vector smart 1093? that was probably 15 yrs old that finally died.
