87 Octane just like the 6.2.

If the new 2020 SuperCrew trucks do indeed come with a 48 gallon tank with the gas engines I will be ecstatic. The small tank on my 2014 F250 is the thing I dislike most about the truck, especially when towing.

Beautiful truck. Keep us filled in on how it's performing in light day to day use.

From what I've read, that engine is really intended for vehicles that haul heavy loads all the time or are carrying heavy loads like utility bodies, small cranes, etc. And Ford has high hopes for it in F550's and F650/750s due to its low down torque and lower rpms.

The 6.2 will be continued too, and it's no slouch. Higher rpms are required when towing heavy, but it still performs well in day to day unloaded use.

I think a 10% increase in mpg after breakin - about 5 k miles- is expected.

Some of that break in maybe electronic . I recently watched a 2020 Vet review and for the first 500 mi or so the engine doesn't operate at max performance , I think it was around 10 % less .

OP, you mentioned more room in the rear of the cab. Is the body changed from 2019? Looking forward to your feedback as you drive it more. Beautiful truck!

Beautiful truck but I can only imagine you will get 9-11mpg at best towing... so the trade-off in resale value and the unladen MPG is a fail for me. I like my 20-24mpg in my 2019 Ram 2500 with the diesel that pulls like a freight train. It hurts to say it but after being a die-hard Ford buyer my whole life... when it comes to a larger truck, the Ford isn't it.

I've been looking at 6.2 gassers. Curious to see your updates, thanks for the info.

Very interested to hear about this the more you drive it.

One question though, the window sticker upcharges you $2,050 or so but on Ford's Build and Price it's a $1,7xx option. I'd have to question the dealer about that.

Not that Iím aware of. I was comparing this truck to my Ď16 F250.

At 65mph the tach was reading right at 1500rpms.

Fordís build site shows it at $2045 when I built it.

Going to sleep on it tonight and make my decision tomorrow on wether to proceed with this truck or keep my diesel a little longer. If I decide not to buy this truck I will probably go with a F-150 w/ the max tow configuration.

I will say this truck drives and handles so much better than my current Ď16 F250. Fuel mileage is showing around 14.5mpg. Same driving conditions my diesel averages 15.5-16.5mpg and thatís with no regens.

Itís $2045 on the F250 for the upgrade to include the 10 speed XMSN. The F-350 come standard with the 10 speed paired to the 6.2L so only $17xx for the 7.3L engine upgrade.

Gotcha, I had built an F350 on there, didn't realize they priced it differently depending on model.

Crazy to me is working everyday and not enjoying what I drive.

Fordís website isnít always accurate, sometimes they will let you spec out trucks they wonít build.

After much thought I decided to stay in my Ď16 a little longer. Itís in great condition and only has 65k miles. The Ď20 is a great truck and the 7.3L performed well. There wasnít anything in particular that turned me off from buying it other than just not being sure on giving up the diesel. I donít need the diesel to tow my boat but it sure makes the job easy.

Did you ever hook it to the boat and see how it did

No I didn't, being that it wasn't my truck I didn't want to tow before the break-in mileage was up.
