Default Owens and Son trailers

I want to thank the hull truth members for advice and feedback on Owens and son trailers. I ordered a triple axle trailer over the phone with Doug and it fit the boat like a glove. The trailer was built to have a forklift load and unload and was a perfect fit.

Definitely worth the money.

what modification did it take for the forklift trailer loading? does it not require straps for a forklift load?

Couldn’t agree more, I own two of them and the piece of mind of having a great custom trailer is worth it’s weight in gold. I shopped a bit for my flats boat (Renegade) trailer and they were really about the same $$$ as a generic all aluminum/stainless hardware trailer... I was thrilled when we were able to find one of their trailers used that fit our new to us parker when we got it. And Jeff and Doug treated me just as if I had bought it new from them. Great folks!

Jeff and Doug are awesome - built a fancy 15k capacity tri-axle trailer years ago for $6800 and sold it 10 years later for 5 grand! Quality!!

I plan to replace my trailer with an Owens and Son’s in the next 6-12 months. I got a quote from Doug that was surprisingly in line with what I would pay for a similar trailer made up here in the Mid-Atlantic. He said I would have to pay to have it shipped north. I see most that have responded are all from Florida. Has anybody had one shipped from Florida up north? Looking for intel on who to contact and approximate cost. Thank you in advance

I am in South Carolina. I drove down and picked it up, towed it home empty, and the marina put the boat on with the forklift.....fit like a glove!

I'm in the same boat as you and in the same state. Got a quote from Owens and Sons then couldn't get shipping squared away. Got a couple pricey quotes for that.

I am also in Md and would be interested in splitting shipping costs. I am only getting a trailer for a 16' boat.
