2018 ram 1500 crew cab with the small 5.5' bed
anyone have an opinion on a foldable hard cover. Looking for something that's dry, easy to fold and relatively easy to remove if needed. They all seem to be in the $700 - $1,000 price range. Paragon, backflip, etc. Peragon is tossing in all the mounting hardware this month with the $799 cover
thx in advance,
rocco

I have a BAKFlip Fiber Maxon a F150 with the 5' 7"' bed and am pleased. You might want to check the internet on the price, as I am concerned about the comment, "Peragon is tossing in all the mounting hardware this month . . " My BAKFlip came with all hardware in the purchase; no extra charge.
AutoAnything sells the unit for about $760.00.and free shipping.

My bakflip G2 filled with water, leaked, delammed, came apart. I took it off...would give it away (6.2 bed.) Bought a cheap Tyger from Amazon. Love it. Dryer than the Bakflip and no rails. I had $400+ in fireworks in the back last week and washed my truck. Bed didn't get wet. I would not have done that with the G2.
When the Tyger fails, I'll buy another but so far holding up great and easy to remove.

I have a Bakflip mx4 on my 2019 ram 1500 limited. Love it! Went with the mx4 over the g2 simply for the seal that allows the tailgate to be shut without lifting the cover. I have heard about the leaking issue, but as of now I’ve not had any issues like that.

I have a Lomax on my '19 Tundra, very nice setup, completely flush fit. Weathertech also puts its name on it. Very easy to install and to remove it for using the full bed. So far it doesn't leak but rainy season is still coming.
Luke at Truckalterations.com will give you a great price, don't go anywhere else. I had mine in 2 days, shipped free from Indiana to Florida.

I have the Bakflip trifold on my 2017 Ram. I like it. I also like that it can take 400lbs on top when closed. You wouldn't think that would be a necessity but it has proven useful multiple times.

I'll go off thread a bit. I've had all the different kinds and for me a basic TOP quality roll up with the velcro and stuff is the best of all worlds and value. A good make looks good and checks all the boxes (some better than others) for not much money. I like that it rolls up to nothing and isn't in the way like most hard/panel covers can be. The only real con is if you NEED security they're not keeping someone out - but most of the others aren't either if someone really wants in. My Access covers don't leak except for a little water here and there in more severe situations.
I'm partial to Access but my SIL just got a Truxsport that seems nice.
