Default Armor Air Compressor. Sorry guys, gonna cost you more $$$$

Just ordered the Armor Air Compressor. Buddy bought one a while back. It is hands down the best portable 12v tire compressor I've ever seen.

Link is below, read reviews... they speak for themselves. Does anyone have long term usage input to add? I'll add review after receiving.

I apologize in advanced if anyone spends the $178 (cost after tax).

I just leave a dive tank in the backseat with a regulator and tire chuck on it. Fill all the tires I want and then some...that's a good idea if you don't have a compressor handy already though!

Nice find!

Thanks for the heads up. Bought Viair a while back, not terribly cheap and had many good rating but wasn't good at all.

Will give this a go.

I've had at least ten to twenty different 12v, battery operated tire compressors. Finally bit the bullet and bought a Viair, but not a cheap one. Don't remember the model number (I can easily get it if interested). My Viair is a serious champ. It has really impressed me. Pumps up my truck tires from nearly flat in just a few minutes. Has no problem taking my trailer tires to 80lbs. Worth every penny I spent (it was a whole bunch of pennies, by the way) I think it was north of $200. I felt really stupid at the time. But not any more!

What was wrong with the Viair? (And what model?) Just picked up a Viair 400P and so far I like it fine.

VIAIR 85P Portable Air Compressor bought on Amazon in 2012. Sorry but don't recall exactly what was wrong with it but did return it and rarely return anything.

I’ve had 3 Viair for several years. No issues and nice small size for storage in vehicle.

I gave up and bought the ARB one two years ago after going through a bunch of the cheap pep boys under $50 compressors. I wish I knew about this one back then. 1/2 the price and I like the 308 can vs the plastic box the ARB comes in.

Here are the cliff notes:

- The M240 weighs 19 lbs, it is freaking heavy.
- There is nothing "cheap" about the M240. The tools they include are typical so-so quality.
- I lowered my driver's side rear tire to 20 psi and pumped it up to 37 psi. My battery is on the passenger side and the hose easily reached my rear driver's side tire.
- From 20 psi to 37 psi on 20" Michelin Defenders, it took app. two minutes with the truck running (higher voltage). It is rated at 2.11 CFM
- The unit runs pretty damn quite and does not "slide" around on the ground.
- I will chalk this one up as a win. Performance is damn good and it has a case that will protect it through just about anything. Highly recommend.
