I hope 20Seaox get his deposit back before this creep makes a penny on the truck.

I solved the problem. He required a 10% deposit to take it for a test drive, so up to MA I went and handed him a bank check for $4,500. Some how, he fell out of the truck during the test drive and I couldn't find him. The truck is now in NC waiting for his call so I can send the balance.

BTW, did anyone notice all the mint parts for an 06 Duramax on eBay?

Now that would be fun.

So the update.

After posting in this thread, I received an e-mail from the OP the next morning saying he would be available the next night. Call him, he tells me his song and dance about the new truck. I ask him about the e-bay listing he says he "probably" shouldn't have done that, and that if I still want the truck he will honor it. (This was Wed of last week). I said I still want the truck (in response to hearing this a friend said I am glutton for punishment), but that I want the transaction completed that weekend and I will call him when I receive the bank check. Get the checks in the mail on Friday, call him, no answer, and voicemail is full. Send an e-mail, no response. Send a text, no response. Call a few other times all the way thru Sat night, no response.

I decide I am going down there to get my deposit back. A buddy takes the trip with me, we get to his house around 9:15 on Sunday. He answers the door, looks a bit surprised, and says are you here for the truck....uh yeah...I am going to need about 30 mins to get my stuff out...ok.

About an hour later I am driving my new to me truck home, all in all the most unnecessarily painful and oddest transaction I have experienced. But I am happy with the truck.

That said I am going no where near anything listed for sale by this guy again.

Who was your "buddy", Smith & Wesson?

Glad to hear it all worked out for you. The POS will screw the wrong guy over one day and regret it.
