Default Is tht running slow today

The heat must be slowing everything down

So everyone decided to check out tht??????????

Moderator Edit:

Rest assured we are handling this issue on our end, and our tech department is diligently working on getting the site to a point where we can let more IPs access it.

The fix - for now - is not just re-booting the router, but to re-new the IP address; turning on and off your router will not do it. You need to go into the command lines for the router and follow the steps to release and then renew the IP address.

You can also try updating or changing your browser or trying to access the site from a completely different area (like a coffee shop or the office).

We're sorry for this, but there's only so much we can do right now if we want there to be *any* access to the site at all.

The IB Team

We got hit with another "denial of service" attack. We don't know the motive this time, because everything has been pretty calm.

Was the DNS attack on THT, or IB servers?

Over the last day or so we have experienced a denial of service attack which is causing the site to run slower than usual.

Default Interesting problem accessing THT

For the last few days I have been unable to access THT or any other website owned by Internet Brands. Thought I was banned! I even had some people check to see it didnt say banned under my screen name. Thought maybe my account got hacked and bad things were said
I could access any other site on the web as long as it wasnt owned by IB ;?
After numerous customer support calls to my ISP, router manufacturer, trying to acces through a proxy, etc., I came across this post:

" I found the solution for this problem, Yes! Because everyone with this problem tried to reach a frequently accessed site that suddenly stopped working. It looks like that somewhere in the router the register full is with this address. Solution is change the router MAC address. In the software you can clone the address of your PC or another PC. Next step is to reset you modem so it will reconnect with you router. It works for me. Changing the MTU didn't help for me.I came up with this solution after realizing that without router, direct connected to the modem I could reach this blocked website.
Success"

Apparently I am such a whore here my router got its fill of THT and said NO MORE

Did you miss me?

Read my post just above yours. Coincidence? See if you can open any other IB sites like www.offshoreonly.com

I recently had a similar problem accessing CNET sites on my iPad. The solution was simply to clear all cookies. PITA having to log on to all my sites again, but clearing the cookies did the trick for me.

One of the moderators posted they have been having denial of service attacks, their ISP may be blocking other ISPs or subnets in an attempt to stop or isolate it. I can access it from Verizon but not from Comcast.

My desktop on a wired internet connection will not access the Hull Truth (Google Chrome could not connect to www.thehulltruth.com) yet my laptop on a wireless internet connection (wifi) can connect.

I purged/deleted my cache on the desktop, rebooted my modem and router (Vonage router) and still connect on my desktop.

Any solutions to this connection problem are appreciated. Mods have been notified of the problem and have responded back that others are experiencing the same problem.

I have corrected the problems that I was having. I had to renew the IP address on my router. Goggled it to find out how (your router is different than mine - I had a LinkSys- so I am not sure if yours is done the same way, simply powering it on and off was NOT good enough) It took about 3 minutes or so and has been been working ever since. Please let me know how you make out

correct. the site has been the target of a deliberate attack and the server is being extra "selective" in allowing access right now. I am not the tech - so this is about the limit of my knowledge of the subject. I have Comcast and was unable to get in. When I disconnected my router and went direct from my modem to my PC it worked fine, so I knew I had to change the IP address of my router. see previous post - it worked like a charm
