Default Can't access The Hull Truth

Purchased an android tablet running wifi and can't access THT. Cleared cache, reset router and nothing works. My droid x, pc and mac pro have no problem. And the tablet can access every other site. Running honeycomb 3.1 and tried firefox browser and what came with it.

Any suggestions?

I have verizon. My solution was to log into my router and release the DHCP lease, immediately power off the router, waited 30 minutes and powered it back on. By then it had picked up a new IP. Just releasing and renewing kept giving me the same IP.

Unfortunately this wasn't the first thing I tried.

I had to get the IP on my verizon router to change.

Logged onto router, released the DHCP lease, powered off router immediately before it could reconnect to the same IP, left it off for 30 minutes. When I powered on it picked up a new IP.

The site is under a DNS attack and they are blocking some IPs.

I was blocked also for 4 days. I tried to change the ip address with no avail. I then unplugged my wireless router and plugged the modem straight into the computor with no router and the site came up.

This is exactly what I had to do. Problem is now I have no wireless for my house and my iPhone is running 3g for mail and all the other crap. My other computers are now offline. Might have to call Comcast for this.

You may need to leave it off longer. This was the info that I used.

If you are wanting to change the public IP address on the router and get a new. Sometimes you have to call tech support and have them break the lease from their end because the system will hold onto the IP. But most of the time you can do it yourself.

If you have the Actiontec Router

1. log into the router
2. go to "My network"
3. Click on "network connections" on the left hand side
4. Click on "broadband connecion"
a. Ethernet if you have ethernet internet
b. coax if you have coax internet
5. Click on "settings"
6. find "DHCP LEASE" and click release, then renew
7. Enjoy new IP address

****If it comes back and gives you the same IP< then you will need to contact tech support to release from their side. Or if you leave the router unplugged (or powered off) for more than 2 hours it will also try releasing that way also.

When I tried releasing and renewing I got the same one too. I tried the 30 minutes and that worked. What a PITA!

I was told ip address has a lease. Mine ends tonight at 12pm. I will be unplugging everything before midnite. Then replugging everything in later. This will make it search for a new ip address when started back up supposedly. Insight was no help at all.

I too have not been able to log on from home for the past 2 days (Verizon). Have tried everything I know, including re-booting my router. I'm logging on at a McDonalds now - yuk. Any help appreciated - you have my email. Thanks.

My brother is in the Army in Korea and can't access the site on his iPad2, either.

Does he need to ask the guy down the hall to reset the IP address on the community router that may or may not be used with or without his permission?

: )

Log onto your router, release the DHCP lease, power off the router immediately before it reconnects, wait 30 minutes, power back on.
My router picked up a new IP, that's what is being blocked. You may have to wait longer than thirty minutes but that worked for me.

That may have worked for you but as I posted before it did not work for me.

I think it is time for the THT adminstrator/tech person to step to the plate to solve this problem on their end. I am done trying to solve it on mine.

That should do it.

Reboot the internet.

Why you find this funny is beyond me.

It is easier for the site to correct a problem they are having then having a hundred or so members trying to correct their connection problems. It may also result in a drastic loss of traffic and membership if the problem is not corrected on their end.

They have been under a denial of service attack for days. You demanding they fix it is funny.

If you don't want to use the workaround they offered then fine. Copping an attitude won't help.
