State of Tackle Direct
 
Anyone order recently? I'm in Florida and was given gift certificate to Tackle Direct. Sent them an email requesting stock on some Maui Jims, hadn't heard back. Would like some input before I place an order with them. If bad I'll see if the person that got me the gift cert can get a refund.

Regular customer of theirs, never had a problem. Frequently stop by their store as well, very professional operation.

I made an order on 9/18. No item, no tracking #, no email replies. The item was not in stock with them but with their vendor, ship 7-10 days. It's only been 15 days but I'm getting worried. They took payment immediately.

so you ordered on September the 18th. and you haven't received your order and your worried? today is September the 3rd, typo I hope

Yessir my bad. 8/18. Order ID W-910723 if anyone from there looks at these posts. I've decided to restart fishing after only going 3 times in the past 30 years. I've got all my parts except my rod so I'm anxious and excited to get out there!

They are still not fulfilling orders on time. I waited 2 months for my Penn rod to come. Decided to give them another chance and order from them again. Rod did not say it was out of stock until after I ordered they send me a email the next day that its out of stock. Its been 3 weeks and still waiting....

out of stock on a bunch of stuff, seems they dont list standard items one would expect, customer service is questionable at best. this was over the last year, 3 different orders.

Got a great deal on a $1600 reel in early March just before covid hit. Very responsive and quick. Unfortunately COVID has take it's toll on northern states, it is difficult for us in Florida to understand. Heck I moved from NY 5 years ago and I am floored by what my NY friends are telling me. My advise is to buy with patience and give them a wide berth at this time. I know that competitors stores here in Florida have a lot of bare shelves on them so in addition to workers they may have inventory issues as well.

I don't think anyone is surprised by lack of stock and supply chain issues. I am surprised by all of the reports of poor CS coming from them because my experience in the past has been great. It seems there has been a major lack of communication from them though and misleading inventory information on their website. I order something from them at the beginning of summer, didn't get an "out of stock we don't know when we'll get it" email until after the order was received. Then I had to cancel. We've been dealing with this for over 6 months. The teething period is over, everyone knows the COVID drill and it's not much of an excuse anymore.

I received my item and they replied back to my email within 48 hours. It was late but it arrived. They offered to cancel my order in the email. Overall I'm satisfied.

I have sponsors and can buy direct in a lot of cases from different manufacturers. A lot of them are just sold out or are weeks out.. I know there are distributors that have been 3-4 months behind...

I order from there several times this summer. Supply Chains for a lot of their products have been disupted since Covid. Also USPS has been slowed with Covid as well. My sugesstion is to get expidited shipping with Fed ex and UPS if possible. I know it costs more but at least you get your order without delays

Tackle Direct is awful. They were bad before Covid. Save yourself the headache and hassle, BUY ELSEWHERE!!!

Well I ordered. Had to burn this gift certificate....10 items all showed IN STOCK at TD. Due to be delivered Oct 22 according to the order. Based on what everyone is saying I'm going to be pleasantly surprised if the stuff shows up..

UPDATE email from TD...2 of 10 items out of stock and will be delayed. So, hoping for the 8 items Oct 22! and the other 2 at some point.
