Default Still in business?

Placed 2 orders on July 2nd and have not received any updates other then the confirmation email. I have tried calling, emailing, leaving my number for a call back, all to no avail.
Just wondering if you guys are still there and if so how I might be able to speak with someone about my orders.

Same here, my order placed June 30th, nothing, no ship details, and they wont answer the phone. I emailed them and got some third party clowns that didn't have a clue about my order.

Same here. Placed an order on July 2nd for a fishing rod to be shipped in "1-3 business days". I got the order confirmation email but after that it's like they disappeared from the face of earth. No response whatsoever. Tried calling, sent emails, tried the website chat... but they're completely off the radar.

I wonder if this has something to do with the message on their website telling "Please expect shipping delays while we make system upgrades. We apologize for any inconvenience.".

Same. Placed an order last week and was shorted 2 items. Several emails, calls, call backs, and even a chat but no answer.

Anyone ever get through?

I also had ordering nightmares recently, cancelled everything and just went to the store. They are upgrading their computer and ordering systems and things didn't go as smoothly as planned.

That's what I'm trying to do now, cancel the order and reorder it elsewhere. But the problem is, if you can't get a hold of their customer service, you can't even cancel the order. Last resort will be to send an old fashioned letter.

this will be my final order with tackle direct. Over the years I’ve spent thousands in gear. Order placed on 7/5, confirmation received, paid for upgraded shipping, go into system to track order, says order number not found. Called multiple times along with leaving voicemails. No response.

Buyers Beware. Needed this tackle for upcoming weekend.

if you can’t tell Im Totally Pissed

Disputing payment this morning for non delivery. This morning getting a message on their site that they are upgrading their systems.. WTF. No excuse for not calling me back or sending an email.

Customer Service at its worst

TD you’ve lost a customer

We're here. I cant apologize enough. Anyone who ordered in the last 2-3 weeks it's an absolute adventure. We implemented a new system and are struggling to get the orders processed, even in stock ones. We are working around the clock to get it goijng and are starting to get more out.

The order delays has caused an overload on phone calls and e-mails upwards of 1000+ of each a day. And my team of 10 in CS can't handle that sort of volume.

I promise you we are doing all we can to get these orders out the door and will be back to normal soon.

Better be a FAT 50% discount coupon (not 10% off your next $150 purchase horseshit) in the package when it arrives or you've lost THT as a customer base. It's one thing to disregard coupon code requests, it's another to make a "system change" in the middle of fishing season and put your customers in a bad position.

I disputed charges through paypal , all that did was send TD an e mail, which of course they don't answer. TD continues to send me e mail ads multiple times a day but they sure are not sending out e mails warning potential customers to not order because they will take your money and customers will not receive their items. TD should SHUT DOWN until they can fix this issue. I will NEVER order from them again.

Same B.S. with me...ordered a DTX minnow on 7/3 - called 4X, e-,mailed...nothing. Was hoping to get it for a tournament I'm fishing...so pretty disappointed. Put my number in for the call back...nothing. I buy and own a ton of gear...more than most...and I'll not use these guys again.

So the Tackle direct guys know I'm just not piling on.... Order #736882

Crickets.. no order received , no returned phone call.. hello does anyone care. I too work in a customer service company, here’s what should have happened..

1. Test system before deployment
2. Have back out plan to revert to original system if new system fails
3. Train customer service reps on new system
4. For deployment, shut down order capabilities to ensure data is not lost and in sync between both old and new platforms
4. Validate data between old and new
5. Communicate any and all outage PRIOR to any service interuptionss
6. Set expectations with customers., don’t let them wonder where’s my order..
7. Remember who’s really paying the bills.. yup it’s the guy and gals waiting for our orders to be fulfilled and expectations to be set

Guess I’ll need to dig some night crawlers since my jigs haven’t arrives.. 3 weeks and counting..

Sounds like a system update that went south quick is the cause behind it.

There is nothing wrong with the part of the 'system' that takes your money.
