Bruins have to be exceedingly embarrased after laying that big an egg in that situation.
FWIW, some observations:
1) The dagger to me was goal #2 with 8 seconds to go in first.
Marchand CANNOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES drop his defensive assignment to make a change in that situation. I don't give a damn how long you were out there or how tired you might be. There are 8 seconds left in the period!!!!!!!!!! This showed a complete lack of awareness of the the in-game situation and something a true leader would never let happen. He cost his team big time to the point he should apologize to them for such an unconscienable mistake.

Bergeron: -4
Marchand: -2
Pastrnak: -7
Those are not good numbers for your 1st line.

Please explain how Rask is a failure when his team scores 1 basically garbage-time goal. I won't mention his defense turning the puck over nor Marchand skating to the bench allowing the Blues a 3 on 1. The goal between his legs was a redirect but still stoppable. The others were on his teammates. They got outplayed, plain & simple and congrats to the Blues for bringing it to them. Did the better team win, maybe maybe not, but last night the Blues were the better team and got the Cup. And it's a good thing none of the other playoff games he's played were "big games."

2011 - lost starting job to Tim Thomas - thankfully as the bruins won the cup
2015 - epic failure in game 6 giving the cup to Chicago
In game 7 situations rask is 3-3 with a gaa over 3 and a save percentage under .85
the guy is in the top 5 highest paid goalies yet is completely undependable in big games.
From 2012 until this year, the team never even brought in a goalie to challenge him for the job. This year they did and halak took his job for a while. I still maintain halak is better and should have been the goalie for the playoffs.
Rask is a complete failure. He had a chance to reverse his legacy, but all he did is cement it as a goalie you do not want on your team in game 7 situations.
Funny thing with rask, there is always an excuse as to why it’s not his fault, but never accountability.

lets see, when the bruins needed a win to even make the playoffs - rask did not even physically show up to the game.

Bs win, NONE of the above matters and he IS a big game guy even if he doesn't play in one the rest of his career.
That said, all of the above DOES now matter.
Sometimes as a goalie, you have to steal one from your team, ask Binnington. Last night Tuuka needed to steal one. He knows who was playing in front of him. He knows his top guys are struggling and are banged up.
in no way shape or form am I blaming tuuka for the loss last night, but he most certainly didn't help anything.

However, I also stated I was waiting for the other shoe to drop and it did last night. The bottom line is that rask is not a big game goalie and by far and large has not lived up to his contract.

Congratulations to the Boston Bruins. Who, back on Feb 16 thought we'd be in the 7th game of the Stanley Cup finals. So for now this is Bob Wilson, high atop the Boston Garden saying so long till next season...............................

I can't read through all this. But that loss is no fault of Rask. There was no offense and the defense slipped up too many times. First redirection goal... Not much you can do about that. Second goal is essentially a breakaway that rests squarely on Marchand.
I like Cassidy. I hope that next season be breaks up the 1st line. That's a lot of talent on one line that produced poorly. They need to mix it up next year.
Congratulations to the Blues. They beat, quite literally, the better team.
