If he does inherit the head coach job in NE after BB retires that's fine.

If not, he is poison to any other team looking for a head coach. Indy got screwed waiting for the playoffs to end to sign him and taking a pass on other candidates.

Did he hire them or was it the Colts management, There was talk about why would he want that job if they started to pick the staff?

The Colts picked/hired the staff. Whether Mcdaniels was there or not had zero bearing on those hires.

I liked McDaniels because he gave Tebow a chance.

what a crock. Nice try. Head Coaches don't agree to jobs unless they either have full or majority hiring staff decisions. The guy is scum and he better get the Pats gig because not only will nobody hire him as a head coach, no assistant would trust him. He didn't have the class and or balls to even call the folks he hired. So enjoy cheering for the turd.

Report: Assistants Josh McDaniels hired are staying with Colts

Posted by Charean Williams on February 6, 2018, 8:46 PM EST

The Colts already had hired three assistant coaches to serve under Josh McDaniels. Although McDaniels left the Colts at the alter, Indianapolis will retain Matt Eberflus as defensive coordinator, Dave DeGuglielmo as offensive line coach and Mike Phair as defensive line coach, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Media.

The three assistants already are in the team facility, per Garafolo.

But Eberflus, DeGuglielmo and Phair now will serve under a head coach who didn’t hire them, which should make for an interesting staff.

The great Nick Saban took some heat for perhaps lying when he was coaching the Dolphins and left there for Alabama. Looks like Nick recovered and landed on his feet. Hopefully McDaniels will too.

Did he ever officially accept the job? Because it seems like everything that has been said about the Patriots towards the end was all just rumor has it. He appeared have lot of head coaching gigs along with Matt. His acceptance must be with those 11 deflated balls.

Why would you hope that? The guy just presented himself as one hell of a lousy roll model in terms of sticking to his word and integrity. Father of the Year? Ironic his predecessor screwed someone else over the some way and gloated over it.
Classy outfit ya got there.

When you get dumped by your agent like Lil Josh did, you know you’re a steaming pile.
