lololol..like there will ever be any punishment for that.
The NCAA has overstepped their boundaries with UNC. This was an academic issue, not an athletic one.

If you want to know why this investigation continues, look no further than here:

Good football weekend. The Alabama FSU game was decent. Even though I dislike FSU, I hate to see their QB get hurt like that.

VT/WVU was a good game and I like what I see in our freshman QB. Defense was a little weaker than I would have anticipated from Foster. Good thing we have some cupcakes before the mid-season conference games.

Game of the week had to be last nights GaTech vs Tennessee. 2 OT's lost on a 2 point attempt. Good stuff!!

Massive collapse by TX A&M v UCLA. Best week's start ever. Tennessee v Ga Tech was historic. Never give up! Go Big Orange!

Michigan looked pretty good against Florida however watching the Prime Time game that followed at 8 pm I am a bit depressed after seeing the ringer team play with all that speed and power

Didn't the whole thing start with fake classes for student athletes?

I knew a (white) guy that was a LAX player at UNC. Never attended an "african american studies" class..but got credit for an "A" in a 3 hour class. He said EVERY athlete was doing it.

I'd say that's both academic and athletic.

And I'd think John Swofford being the ACC commissioner has something to do with nothing happening, too.

TOSU seems to have a problem with "31".

No, the "whole thing" started with the AFAM Studies department, where at least one educator wasn't doing his job.

I don't understand the next point - are you saying that this LAX player got credit for a class that he never attended? Did he report it to the administration? Or to the athletic department? There's an honor system on campus, so he would have been required to report it.

Regardless, how is that the athletic department's fault? Just because athletes may have enrolled in that class doesn't mean that the department was complicit, does it?

I don't understand the Swofford reference. He's just the commissioner of the ACC. Sankey is the chair of the NCAA infractions committee *and* the commissioner of the ACC's biggest rival - the SEC. How he justifies staying on the committee for this is unbelievable.

Well, yeah, it does. He told me it was mostly athletes doing it-so that leads me to say it was an athletic and academic issue.

And sure..he was getting free grades and he was going to report it..just like all the other athletes that did. Sure. Wait for that.

Swofford has done nothing to further the investigation or even look into it. He said nothing happened like that while was UNC AD, but this started in the early '90's. He doesn't want any dirt on his record, but as the commissioner of one the power 5 conference members -it's his duty to enforce and investigate that kind of thing. So far, it's been nothing but lip service from him. He doesn't want to get caught, and he won't be in a big hurry to have anyone complete the investigation that s been going on since 2010.

So you've got a professor who has basically admitted to not teaching classes in which students received free grades and nothing has been done about it. Nor will there be.

My In-laws who were there said we didn't play well though, following it on ESPN gamecast on my phone was also reflective of that, lots of 3 and outs.

My buddy who is an ECU grad said they got spanked by WVU and have started off the season 0-2 so we might still have a chance.
