Default Nike Golf

Quitting hard goods.....clubs, balls, etc.

Gonna be rough for Rory, Brooks Koepka, Michelle Wie to have to pick up some new sticks and get comfortable with them...

Tiger, not so much...

I'm gonna miss my PD soft orange..

PXG anyone..??

Their clubs suck anyways. Can't compete with Taylor Made, Callaway, Cobra, Etc.

I had a gut feeling that Rory wanted out anyway, so he may be relieved.

Curious where Tiger goes, but I am quite sure it won't be Callaway (Mickelson's clubs). My guess is he goes to Titleist since he has used the Scotty Cameron putter in the past.

I had a set of Nike irons when they first came out. Bought a set of TM Rocketbladez... They are no match. Feel, distance, forgiveness.

Boy when Tiger is done so are a LOT of others

Love my Taylor Made irons even though I do not play a lot, they make even me look decent

My son had a set of Nike Irons and got rid of them about as quick as he got them, he loves Ping

I used those PD Soft balls for years, nice ball for the price especially when learning the game.

I have hit a few of their drivers, never a match for the TM R series.

Apparently, their market share was not providing a sufficient return. I would guess that the company execs had fair warning to improve their position in the industry, but couldn't get it done and the plug was pulled. Perhaps some disgruntled, Nike engineer or exec will blow the whistle or write a book about it.

It was always considered an inferior product and Mickelson even stated that what Tiger was doing with Nike clubs made it that much more incredible.

From what I have heard, and I could be totally wrong, most of Tiger's stuff was rebranded with NIKE logos, but not actual Nike equipment.

Tigers Clubs had the Nike logo on them and that was about it. His clubs were never close to what they sold as NIKE clubs. His irons always were Mizuno Heads and custom shafts.

I think it was Phil or maybe another golfer that made comment about how Tiger was killing everyone with an inferior equipment.
