You said it..we were much more creative in the 2nd half...and Woods is just on fire these last 2 games and Morris as well, that dummy was huge...so cool to see them beat 2 of the best teams of the world within 5 days of each other...definite confidence booster and hope it leads to great success in the upcoming Gold Cup...now looking forward to our trip to Alaska and Vancouver which is just a few weeks away, love all the coverage from Vancouver.

When was the last time the US beat the #6 and then #1 FIFA ranked teams in the world on their home turf? Here's a hint - NEVER.

Of course, its just a friendly and those teams weren't at full strength. Well neither were we!

Now come on ladies put a whoopin on Sweden on Friday!

I also just saw we apparently have not scored multiple goals in back to back games played in Europe since 1979....geez what a stat.

Yeah, the ladies are going to have a tough time with Sweden...it really is a huge game for the Swedes so I expect a tight match, hope we pull this one out or at least tie.

The Swedes back line is suspect and slow. Nigeria's counters exploited them. I say we go with speed and leave Abby on the bench. Hopefully we won't have any defensive blunders like we did in the first half against Australia. Thank goodness that Hope was on her game.

I can't wait for the games to get here. There aren't that many things to see in Winnipeg.

There are 11 players on the pitch for a team and they all are important and they all have their job to do. But there is only ONE position whose play can change the outcome of a game. Not even Lionel Messi can change the outcome of a losing game all by himself (although he is damn close to being able to do it), That one position is of course the keeper. A keeper can change the outcome and turn a loss into a draw or even win when they are on top of their game. And unfortunately they also can be the goats (anybody remember the goal we scored against England in WC 2010?)

KEEPERS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!

I too am a former keeper, hell I even married a keeper in both respects. We are a different breed thats for sure. With keepers there is always something thats just not right with our heads. 3 concussions, multiple broken fingers and hands, I always played as an aggressive keeper.

The bad news is that they US woman did not play that well, especially in the attack, tonight.
The good news is that the defense looked much more cohesive and the still are on track to win the group with a win against Nigeria.
The other bad news is that as much as I love her Abby needs to either play or stay off the pitch. The only thing she did tonight was to flop and try and draw a PK. I know she still has some good work in her but she sure hasn't shown it yet.

Yeah that was the probably the worst refereeing I have seen in any game in quite some...the missed pk calls were unbelievable...so happy to see the Dutch tie it up with 2 minutes left, now they can only hope a 3rd place finish will be good enough.

The Kiwis were robbed by refs against China. They missed an offsides that than led to a handball in the box that wasnt. The penalty kick allowed China to tie the game. Instead of NZ not progressing, China should be staying home for the next round.

The sideline ref was way out of position when she missed the offsides.

.

And John Strong the announcer for the Netherlands v Canyada game is a total Dickhead.

His constant Spoiler updates on the NZ v Chn game ruined it, Anyone who wanted to know that score of that one could have easily found that information but for those who wanted to watch it time shifted without knowing the results were SOL.

He also missed the handball since he was busy updating the NZ v Chn results.

Who is in favor of adding two goal line officials?, the men's game as gotten way too fast for the refs and the women's game is getting there.

Whenever there is a fast end to end switch, the refs seems way behind, maybe having Men officiate the Women's game would produce more consistent officiating.

I am in favor of replay officiating on certain plays. An easy one would be handballs in the box or other calls that lead to PKs.

In the NZ/China game, the sideline official was just out of position. Our seats were right on the 18 box line. The China player was offsides by at least 3 yards. The official seemed to be lined up with the 2nd from back NZ player and out of position. The non-hand ball call was directly after that play.

US needs to be better in the midfield. Have to do a better job linking the back to the forwards. Squandered some good chances tonight. Should have won probably 4-1 tonight.

Well lets see if the US ladies can finally gel and the midfield and forwards combine the way we know they are capable of. Certainly have not played near their ability yet.

USA would do a lot better if someone could convince Rapinoe to pass. Phenomenal talent, but squanders much of her value by being the biggest ball-hog in the tournament. I'd love to see her benched, but it won't happen.

If the USofA advances she will be on the bench, not the way you saw it, but none the-less its a reality.

Now to more serious business, can the offence play any worst?, long ball over the top seems to be the order of the day, whenever they move the on the wings and have the strikers running down the center of the field Colombia seems over match,
