Default John Fox Fired by Broncos

It as been my contention for the last three years that the Broncos would never win a Super Bowl with Fox as the head coach.

I said in another tread here that he was directly responsible for the loss to the Ravens couple years back, as was not prepared for the Super Bowl against the Seahawks.

If I saw the screen correct, 4 STRAIGHT Titles and a 46-18 record and a SUPER BOWL appearance and ELWAY drops the hammer.. How many times did ELWAY get BITCH slapped in the SB (3 if I am correct)

Oh well, betting Fox ends up in ATL at this point. Might be a good gig for him

I'd take Fox and his +.700 winning percentage in cleveland........but it would probably curse him.

While his winning percentages looks impressive, it's my opinion that he always seem ill prepared for the big game, he played a Rams team in the super bowl that appears to be looking for a place to lose, and could not pull it off.
The Broncos seem ill prepared for the Ravens a couple years ago, he surely was ill prepared to play the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.
He lasted a year longer than I thought he would.

How do you coach a Peyton Manning? Broncos have talent on the team but Manning has been the driving force and the smarts behind their success and failures in the past few seasons.
I think Peyton's days in the NFL are numbered and no coach will be allowed to make that change, ever!

Fox will have continued success elsewhere.

Not surprising at all. I thought he should've been canned last year.

Fox is not the problem. Manning is the problem, but no one wants to admit it. He has had a brilliant career in the regular season but is sub 500 in the playoffs. Fox may or may not be one issue with Denver, but even going back to Indy, Manning has not lived up to the hype in the playoffs.

Don't know if it was manning or fox calling some of those plays, but how many times did Manning try to force a long ball on a fly route down his right flat into double coverage that was on the reciever like glue.

Because he threw the game sealing pick, not Payton . And he was the DB who couldn't keep up with Jacoby on that home run shot.

Now, I don't know if Manning changed the play at the line of scrimmage, I am however going to assume he ran the play the offensive coordinator sent in and OK'ed by Fox

Third and three, time running out if the Broncos make a first down the Ravens have no way of stopping the clock, unable to run the ball all day someone called a running play, no gain the ball goes back to the Ravens, and a prayer was answered. maybe the best passer in the history of the NFL , and you take the ball out of his hands. not very smart.

If I am the General Manager, Fox is looking for a job the next day.

Are you serious ? John Fox is the best thing that ever happen to the Denver broncos . The problem is the washed up quarterback who has more power than the head coach and the gm who wishes he was still playing QB. John fox won the AFC west with tim tebow, and went to the Super Bowl with Jake delohmme John fox builds his team around defense and running the ball, I hope peyton comes back for one more year so they can realize they fired a great coach for a washed up quarterback.

Yes, that the John Fox I am referring to, the one who lost the Super Bowl on the one yard line, because of poor clock management,

The John Fox that will take a losing team and make them a winner, but always seem ill prepared in the big game, if you goal is to make the playoffs, John Fox is your man.
If your goal is to win a Super Bowl, better look elsewhere.

It seems that horse mouth Elway doesn't like Fox. That's what I read on ESPN's bottom line this a.m.

Looks like Fox is going to be the next victim of Coach Killer Cutler. All the media are saying he'll sign a contract with the Bears tomorrow.
