Default Going to arena/stadium

If and when they open up sports to fans. Who will go to the arenas and stadiums?
I think I would hold off and see what happens.

also. Are ticket prices going to high if they limit amount of fans allowed in?

just thinking out loud.

I will never go to another pro event. Last year we went to the Jets / Giants game. The line to get thru security was at least an hour long. People were banging into each other and were packed together like sardines. Not to mention the drunks that were puking in cups and putting it on the ground. I don't see how getting into a stadium will be possible going forward.

I think I will refrain from attending events for a while, even if they are allowed.

On a positive note - no more vuvuzela drone at soccer games!

The price of tickets probably won’t go up but you’ll need to buy 9 tickets so the seats around you are empty.

Yes you may be right but, its like this at any pro event. Everybody has to get screened with the wand or metal detector. How will they control the tailgating at football games, and then get people thru security. I don't know how this can be accomplished.

You don't.

You let people do what they want.

If you get sick, you go home and deal with it, like the flu.

If you are an "at risk" person, stay home.

Would be awesome if this all relates back to player salaries. Reducing by 25% minimum. Owners losing money should reflect on these overpaid guys.

im all for a QB making $15-$18mil.
but mid road QBs making $30+mil a year. Total joke. As are all top half contracts in all sports but hockey.

never heard of some of these NBA players making max contracts. My kid had to educate me that they are “pretty good”

Players are paid based on a percentage of total revenue (48% in the NFL). As long as advertisers feel they are getting a good ROI on the advertising dollars they'll continue to pay those dollars. That lets the TV networks pay the leagues crazy money. So to reduce player salaries, the advertising rates would need to decline.

I'll give it some time, at least until a vaccine is available and see from there.

The days of me shelling out a couple of hundred bucks for a ticket are way past. Over priced food and drink then you have to drive home.

Piss on it I’ll take my 60 inch tv any day of the week

I heard a report yesterday that the Miami Dolphins have introduced a model plan for next season. It involves admitting 15K - 17K fans into the stadium. Fans will enter at specific staggered times and will be seated a distance apart. No waiting in lines for food and beer, you have to order it then go pick it up. Fans will be expected to exit after the game in an orderly fashion. How they decide which ticket holders will get to enter...is anybody guess.

Good luck with that ! I'll stay in my living room.

This was my old norm, and I kind of like it. The beer’s cheaper, the burgers are better, and the mixed drinks have as much booze as I decide should be in them.
