Default Ncaaf 2019

My favorite sport. Didn’t want to shit on the “best team in Fl” thread” caus i was speaking there of the UF/Miami game in that thread, but I wanted to expound on the Auburn/Oregon game...from what I’m hearing and I said in that thread battle in the trenches, Auburn is one of the best defensive lines in the nation this year and the ducks are suppose to have one of the if not the best offenseive lines in the nation. If anyone likes that kind of battle like myself, game 1 in Jerry Dome should be a slobber knocker, preseason 8 vs 9. Oregon is picked controversially to be the PAC 12 favs this year with Washington in disagreement according to my forum hardcore husky friends.

Hear espn game day will be there. Hard loss for the loser, playoff implications and TSIO type situation like Washington faced last year vs Auburn. Looking foreword to that game and set the tone for
both conferences.

UF/UM could be a good game and since it is first of season I expect game day to be there . Really not sure what to expect with Miami to be honest, looks like THE U is not adapting to rules in place now instead of back in “day” when they ran rampant (and by way some of the most talented teams EVER in CF )

Auburn/Oregon . Only interest will be from Auburn/Oregon fans to be honest . Auburn should walk all over them however rumors are Gus in on the “hot seat” this year for some reason

Disagree.

UF/ Miami will be big kickoff game. However many fans will tune in to the Auburn/Oregon game and Auburn will not walk all over them. Oregon is picked to win PAC 12 and believe it or not, those fans while not as passionsionate about their rival teams, are hungry to be relevant and are pretty upset their conference has been sucking last few years. They do want to see one if their teams win a big one, especially against the SEC looking at their message boards.

And of course many Sec fans will tune in to that game even tho many of the SEC fans may not be Auburn fans, they will be looking for Auburn to kick west coast ass, especially the team picked to win that conference. It will be big and the results will be large for both conferences in the big pic. Many of the rest of the country may not gaf but bottom line is many SEC fans and PAC 12 fans will be looking at that game. College Game Day crew will be at this venue.

I think Auburn losses this one in a heartbreaker that will spiral their season. In my opinion, Oregon is better.

Ehhh, he been on “the hot seat”...

but to yer point, Oregon is underrated from the south and east coast, they have maybe the best QB and O line in the nation. Auburn is loaded in D. It will be a show of SEC D vs west coast O. Bank it.

If you’re correct. History says Oregon doesn’t stand a chance.

I really don't get the hype on this Oregon team. Auburn should handle them with average effort. Anything below average and Oregon could get the win.

This is how I’m feeling. The only team that plays defense in the pac12 is Stanford.

Auburn will not win this game easily....if they even can. I don’t think y’all realize how good Oregon is this year. It’s not their defense I’m worried about(from an SEC homer), it’s their offense. They have arguably the best quarterback and offense in the nation. And don’t let this slip past, “they are picked to win that conference”....not a game, not a division, the conference. Auburn is not even being talked about as winning the SEC. However, they are being touted as perhaps the best defensive line in the nation. They have a good offensive line returning. Good running backs. No idea who may run the offense, quarterback will be new and trying to win the job, against a strong team right out of gate.

Another tid bit, Oregon’s coach is SEC mentality type of guy, has recruited very very well for physicality and pushes that mentality everywhere including the strength program. He even took several of his coaches this off season to Bama and several other SEC schools to expose them and to show them what he wants and is about. Cristabol ain’t playing.

So in saying that and shedding that light, I’m really looking foreword to that game. Auburn is not the best SEC team but with an outstanding defensive front, and returning offensive line, an unproven quarterback going against a west coast team that is modeling itself from our league(SEC) and picked this year to win that conference, not division, but maybe a playoff team.

Its huge fir for west coast fans to see how they match up with a top tier but maybe not the best from the south. Auburn will be ranked 8 and Oregon 9. It will say a lot of things to many fans from each conference when the dust settles, on networks to message boards.

Oregon o-line is nothing compared to a bama or uga. Both of which have better o-lines. Auburn might lose but it will be because they don’t have a QB to toss the pig to anyone and their o-line won’t be what it should be by the time they kick off. Their D should be fine though and they will handle Oregon. Then they will lose to the better O-line teams bama and Uga later in the season.

Auburn favored by 3. I say Oregon by 3. Think their qb and oline will be too good. Auburn replacing 1 d lineman and 3 LBs. Gave up 355 yds a game last year.

This year is a little different in that area. Plus Oregon QB is really good. Don’t underestimate the ducks this year. ‘‘Tis the reason I said ought be a great game with their O and Auburn D. Auburn will have to match score for score to have a chance.

As an Alabama fan...

I haven’t heard much out of Auburn this off season.
And that may mean they are sand bagging.

Auburn is one of those teams that can go from junk status to Championship contender in the blink of an eye.

Usually that happens when things go silent on the plains. And after a crappy season.

Maybe its just a thought. Maybe not.

West Coasters seem to get a lot of media attention and typically get smashed. But again, that’s an observation.

Auburn is zero dark 30.
