I went to Beantown in late April 1974. Had a small 1" Flyers pin on shirt. Got kicked around town and mistreated all the ways possible . Even the ticketing agent at the airport couldn't resist.

Keep in mind flyers were like 10 to 1 underdogs. We had lost 17 out of previous 19 games. I'm all for fan participation but their bombastic BS boston rowdy behavior lit me up. So an expansion team with nobody was Hoi g up against Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito. And the fans couldn't even be gratuitous enough to welcome a challenge

Since then all of behavior has been exactly the same. Fans are lower then dog poop stuck to your shoe. Shove it Beantown
Philadelphia fans are ones to talk about fan behavior.

You need to get out more. So 40 years ago you had a bad experience....tell me more. 40 years ago my diaper leaked. I got over it.

I don't know if bruins fans are good or bad...but SABRES fans are awful...but nothing beats fans of SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY. horrible! A close runner up are the MARYLAND TERRAPINS...but thankfully they left the ACC.

(That's a college sports conference for you Northern folk).
I know schoolin and book learnin ain't high on ya'lls priority list down there but I specifically said we would let you know if we wanted to hear about it. We don't, so we didn't, yet you felt compelled to tell us anyway. Strange!

I wonder if hockey players get mentally taken out of the game when goalies play lights out; like sheesh saving everything are we going to get anything in the net? I know in Tennis its largely mental as well..

It's totally mental...people in the Boston area are just mentally strong and can overcome, e.g. Tom Brady in Superbowl LI

Brindamor needed to send a message, he didn't. Williams should have been benched for a while after the 2nd stupid penalty but no can't do that to Mr Game7 so what does he do? He goes out and almost immediately commits a 3rd.

What becomes of us if the Bruins win the cup (not saying they will, just IF) AND the city gets to celebrate a 3rd championship in one year? I don't think we can get lower than scum of the earth and dog poo stuck under your shoe lmfao.

And on top of that, having the second most sexy accent in the country, it’s no wonder that they hate us cause they ain’t us! https://bigseventravel.com/2019/05/5...ts-usa-ranked/

I was invited out to the Rangers and the Leaf's training camp and if my knees didn't fail me I would have been an NHL goaltender.....my GAA numbers were that good. So to answer your question, I wish I have five bucks for every stick broken over my net. When the goalie is on fire it really does get into the opponents head. Stuff like that Really fired me up too.

You really can't look at the amount of penalty minutes he gets, it's more how many goals does he cost his team while they are short handed with him in the box. You have to look at the plus and minus numbers of the game to understand a players net value.
