Default Fishing shoes

I know this thread has been done before but what are the latest and greatest fishing/boating shoes? My Columbia Drainmakers bit the dust so I'm looking for what's available.

I wear the soft science Fin 2.0 and like them. I like them so much I have a couple of pair in different colors for everyday wear.

I also have a pair of Soft Science Fin 2.0 and they are excellent. Also, I have a pair of XTRA Tuf ankle boots and a pair of their tall, I think 10”, boots. They are also excellent. Xtratuf now has a shoe similar to their boots that may be a good choice.

If Xtratuf are too narrow, HUK shoes and boots are wider. Their boot is basically just a wider rip off of Xtratuff.

Shimano makes a pair of sandal that I have been wearing for years. It has a cover toe so I don't get a hook in my foot when I step on a thrashing Bluefish.

I wear a 9-1/2 wide shoe, do you think the soft science size 10s are wide enough?

My only complaint with Soft Science 2.0 is that they are a bit too wide, so, I bet you will be pleased with the size 10's

They are a very different style shoe. If you mean is the quality "as good" then I would say yes but they are different shoes and which you like better is really personal preference.
The 3 is more sneaker-ish.

Softscience runs wide, particularly on the older models like the fin 2

Ahh the privileges of being able to buy any shoe you like! When you have a 5E foot wide in front narrow in back I'm at a great disadvantage. I can only buy what fits and that ain't much!

So I can't mail order anything. It's got to be in the store. Which is next to impossible for this angler. I tried on everything close at a major show here in March, nope no go. I've resigned to buying sneakers from New Balance. And have recently discovered Keen and Merril.
