Default Murray Bros lures

Can anyone tell me about them? They look pretty good but I can tell they are "seasoned." Anyone used to fish, or still fish with them? They came in a lot I purchased. About 10 in different colors and sizes.

Just wondering if these are conversation lures or if they should be on the boat.

Thanks

The Murray family (Palm Beach area) used to make top notch fighting chairs and such...They made some lures too...You probably have the LNG series...These lures are true classic swimmers and had Trawelite skirts....Different resins back then so they do have a tendency to chip at times.

They are a conversation piece...just like an antique gun...But what good is a gun, if you don't shoot it? And what good is a lure, if you don't run it?

Nice. This site is a wealth of info. Thanks for the response. They look great and the skirts are definitely different than all my other lures. Good to know.

Did you happen to get the one that looks like a mermaid? I remember seeing that one when they had a store in North Palm Beach. I wish I had bought it to hang in my bar.

I don't think so. Next time I dig in the "nontravelling squad" I'll lay them out and snap a pic. One thing for sure is the skirts are way different than anything else I have or have seen.
