Default Crimper Recommendations

I'm looking to buy a new crimper. Primary use will be mono from 60 to 250lb.

I think you might be right.....I spoke to a couple of people and they all point to the same one. One question, do you have to buy their sleeves or can you buy other brands?

I use it with Momoi aluminum sleeves 98% of the time...80/100/130/200

I have never used it on wire and or cable

Buy any and be as particular on brand as you like

FYI, there are a several that are identical under different branding. Further, the first response to your post was for hand crimper. There are many options for bench as well.

I’ve had this set for 19 years, and have crimped it all. It was a great purchase.

What is the advantage of the SC-3C over the SC-3? For the most part we use 100# mono leader and under.

The SC-3C handles up to 500 lb line. The SC-3 handles up to 300 lb. I think the 3C might have a cutter on it also.
