Default Punta Cana Offshore

Going to Punta Cana next week for a short trip, with wife's company.
Staying at Majestic Resorts, was wondering if any has experience with offshore guides in this area?
What can be caught in December?
thanks for any help

Fished with Tease Me out of Cap Cana in September, Captain and crew were great, highly recommended! We caught several blue marlin and dolphin. Looks like as of yesterday, they are still catching marlin, dolphin and wahoo.

can you give me anymore insight on this trip?
did you keep your catch?
looks like we may be booking with 7 people, do you think that is to many? I am not really worried about fishing. Its more about getting my wife to catch a few. She loves offshore fishing and since I am a boat ho now I don't get to take her as much.

do they supply beer?
how are you following what they catch?

thanks again

My buddy is the one who set the trip up, so I don't know exactly what the deal was that he arranged. Captain Edgar was great and seems they can customize the trip for you and provide you with whatever you request. He set us up with drivers to shuttle us around, we paid them, but he connected us, so we were in good hands.

To answer your questions:
Yes, they provided beer and water.
They also provided lunch for us.
We had 5 from our crew, there were 2 mates, Captain and Captain/boat owner, so a total of 9. I think you would be fine with 7, but I would ask them first. Boat is a 40' Ocean and comfortable with a nice cabin with a/c.
We did not want or keep our catch. I believe we could have, but this was a guys trip for a few days with restaurants onsite so we just ate out.

The mates, Jose and Joan were great. Super nice, funny, and know their stuff. They had tons of bait rigged and ready each day ready to roll and work their butts off all day. Basically came down to who was by the rod, as to who hooked up fish, sometimes a mate would hook fish and pass the rod or you can do it all. We were targeting marlin, so they were using ballyhoo with circle hooks and that was all we fished. Very nice equipment, we used Accurate 600bx reels with Connley rods primarily with a few Shimano Tyrnos for larger reels.

Following them on Instagram for catch reports:

Videos from our trip were Sept 22, 23 & 25th.

Quick report, we had a great time with Capt and crew. Seas were big would be my only complaint (Capt gave us the option to back out)
Ended up staying close, and cutting trip short
8 Mahi
1 Sail
I would call this a good day, for a few hrs of fishing and not leaving site of land.

Everyone got to reel in their first Mahi and my wife was able to get her 1st sail, which meet my goal for the trip.
I would love to spend a whole day on deck with the crew.

thanks again for the lead.

Good deal!! We were able to get 2 days in while we were there with the third day cancelled for the seas. The crew definitely works hard to make sure everyone is having a good time. I would definitely like to get back down to fish with them again.
