Default Ft Pierce/stuart fishing

Going fishing for the first time in florida, targeting sailfish. Going on a family 23’ CC out of stuart/ft pierce and maybe jupiter. Looking for some advice in getting live bait. All other tips would be appreciate! I wont be using kite, mostly trolling and drifting.

If going out the St. Lucie Inlet (Stuart) you will see a group of boats following the bait in the morning. Just drop some sabiki rigs down and reel them up. I fishfinder helps seeing them and the direction they are moving. Ease up on them. There will always be one clown that goes charging in on them sending them deep.

Ft Pierce/Stuart is mostly drift or slow trolling for sailfish. Usually with the help of a dredge teaser.
Jupiter is kinda the middle ground. North of there is trolling/drifting, south is mostly kite fishing.

Out of Stuart look for Bull Shark Barge on your chart and you should be able to get bait there. Was there last week and we got a few but were going trolling anyways so didnt put much time in. There was a live bait guy there this summer but wasnt there last Saturday and been told hasnt been there recently
