Default TLD 25 clean up

These graphite bodied reels can get to looking pretty tired once the graphite loses some luster.

Many shops will tell you that a service is only for maintaining the mechanical integrity of your reels...I don't buy that.

If you get a reel back from me I want it to not only work like you expect it to but look better as well.

Brass wool, soft wire brushes all help to remove corrosion, rust and crud. I use them and can get some good results.

These reels from form member Kandkster were looking old. And they are! The one reel with the black handle is an original TLD made in Japan. We have been getting Malaysia reels for quite a while now.

The drags got upgraded to carbon-tex and I put a nice molded t-bar with a longer anodized arm. These came out nice considering the age of them...

Good stuff! I love my tld 25s. Best 5 to 25 kilo fishing reel imho. My annual maint. includes a wd40 rub down and the reels look new.
