Default Fishing charter Vanuatu

I'm going to be in Vanuatu in August for a week for my sister's wedding. Of course fishing is on the cards.

Anybody have any recommendations on charter operators? Thoughts on what is in season and general expectations?

Staying at Port Vila for 4-5 days then to Luganville on Santo for 3-4 days. Could consider either but much more likely to do a trip when we're in Port Vila.

We vacationed on Efate for a week during December, 2016, staying at The Havannah. I was never able to get out, as I was looking to share. Emailed all the usual suspects on Efate to let them know my situation and my dates. I don't blame them. I just didn't need an offshore fix badly enough to pop for $1,500 or thereabouts all by myself.

We partied with the locals, one of whom happened to be a charter captain. He gave me the dope on the best fishing, which was north, up at Santo. That had been what I'd read, and he just confirmed it. That's where I'd fish if you have a choice.
