I know Tony personally and have the rods. I use braided line. No problem at all. Great rods

Lead core is another option for line. Gets deeper than braid without the maintenance of wire. It won’t get as deep as wire but close.

If you want to get deeper with braid run your main to a 3-way. Use about 15’ of mono to a mojo on one leg and 8-10’ to a spoon on the other. The mojo will get the spoon deeper. Had a couple double headers with 20lb+ bass this year on one of these rigs.

Default A year later ?

So how did you make out with the Bogan Rods? Mine are 10 years old and still fantastic. In my opinion the Star rods don't have the backbone of Bogan's. Let us know.........

I have a set of Maja and a set of Bogans. Both work well. The downfall of the Majas is the guides aren’t as strong The Bogans are definitely better built. Both work with braid or wire. I have both sets paired with Tekota 800LCs.

Default Bogan rods

sup guys,

so last season I used both tony maja rods and bogan rods.

The bogans deff feel better in the hands and feel a bit more sterdy. For this new season Iíve ordered custom seeker rods from Connley canít wait until I get them in.

I don't know how Kevin makes money. I've bought 20-25 rods from him, most are 20 plus years old and still in great shape. So no repeat business.

Was at the Edison nj show last week and saw his new mojo rod itís 6í6Ē but one thing I noticed right off the bat was that the foregrip is upside down
it has a foregrip just like the shimano trevala rods were it has a taper towards the front for your thumb his the taper is on the bottom. Itís just feels completely wrong when holding it and serves no purpose that way, not sure if it was just a manufacturing flaw on the first batch or what but any experienced fisherman will pick that out right away
