Default Nomad Dtx Minnow

Does anyone know if nomad has fixed the issues with these lures not running straight? They look great but I have been reading some negative reviews on the older ones and was curious if they got the issue fixed before I order them. Has anyone used the newest ones? Thanks for any help!

Only used my Gen 2's (The Newer Ones) once but so far so good. Also the hardware that comes on these lures is excellent.

I forgot mine at home today but I have Gen1 and Gen2 (Nomad sent new ones) so I'll be giving them a go soon.

I have a Gen1 purchased in 2017 I have not tried yet. Was told by Nomad the majority of the Gen1's are okay, only a small % of Gen1's had an issue. Swim the lure and if it did not work Nomad would sort through the process of replacing it.

X2

We had a few people that had issues with the Gen 1's and Nomad replaced the lure with brand new Gen 2 models.

Silly question but how do you know if you have the Gen 2?? I just got mine in the mail yesterday and have not tried them yet. The outside of the box just says Nomad DTX Minnow?
Are they still making Gen 1? Or is all inventory Gen 2 now?
I just ordered mine from Striker
Can't wait for the wind to drop out so I can get out there and try them out!!

I Have been selling Gen 2’s for about 2 months now. If you just got them in the mail they are definitely Gen 2

Nomad just sent me the new Gen 2 lures to replace the original ones I purchased. I haven't had time to try them out yet but if they work they are great people to deal with. The only difference I can see is the metal hardware where your line/leader attaches to the bait. The new ones have a split ring and a more of a narrow metal plate running into the bait. The older ones had a heavy wire to attach the line/leader to that ran back into the bait. I really hope these work well and we get to smash the Wahoo with them. As soon as we get to try them I will be sure to give a unbiased report on them.

I used one of my Gen2 the last two days and it can't make it to 8 knots but in a following sea (9-10 knots) it'll still pop out

I wish I was able to send the squirrely Gen 1s into them but all but 1 got lost in the Irma shuffle.

They accepted my receipt. I didn't have to send the lures in.

Man they must be hungry, the ones around here never swallow a lure like that.

Guys, the gen 2 DTX minnows are killing it on the long range boats out of San Diego. Some pics and a report we just received by email was that the DTX Gen 2 outfished everything else 4 to 1 and the captain of the Red Rooster was so impressed he ordered 24 for the boat straight away when they got back yesterday. The angler has been doing these trips for 20 years and said he'd never seen anything like it. The DTX caught heaps of wahoo, and caught fish when the Red Rooster III trolled straight over areas that the Royal Polaris had just fished and caught 0. The guys who have started using the DTX gen 2 are telling us it is simply the best wahoo and tuna trolling hardbait they have ever used.
Some images we received as follows -

The Gen 2's are great! We finally got out last weekend and gave them a shot. They ran deep and tracked straight. The Wahoo bite didn't happened but that will change soon. Nomad got it right and stood behind their product with excellent customer service.

WAHOO bite has been hot in Venice this past week. Several charter captains have been putting Wahoo on ice with the Nomad DTX Minnow. Picture and Video are from.

Captain Gray Long with Go Long Charters | Venice, Louisiana

Captain Josh Bodenheimer with www.intensityoffshoreoutfitters.com

The other picture with the guy and the Wahoo that was caught on a DTX minnow is from another charter captain in Venice. I did not get the name.

WATCH THE VIDEO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
