Yes. You can catch Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, and marlin on the DTX Minnow. I would go with the DTX 165 and our most popular size the DTX 200. Popular Colors: Hot Pink Mackerel, Bleeding Mullet, Spanish Mackerel and Purple Fusilier .

Single strand wire is what I used. Might think of switching to some 130 fc though.

I am EXTREMELY happy with the Nomad DTX 165s. I had a hell of a time getting the Gen 1 lures to swim right and not pop out of the water, but I finally got them dialed in. They are becoming my favorite lures.

I just ordered a set of the Gen 2 DTX 200s to try.

Generally they don't make it to that connection in my area, but have seen some pictures where the lure/fish would be gone.

I reached out to Nomad and they sent me a couple of the Gen 2 200s and I am a believer. They run straight and stay down at trolling speed. Ran it all day and it never popped out once. I will be buying more.

What size line would you use from the leader back to the reel? I'm targets Mahi and Tuna.

what size single strand wire on a 165 for targeting wahoo and tuna. Also can you rig directly to the split ring that is on the lure or remove the split ring. In watching the videos using the split ring was not the preferred method of rigging.
Thanks for your help, I am new to trolling for wahoo.

I hope to try my Gen 1 DTX and Madscad next weekend in NC if the weather allows. It will be rigged with #9 piano wire, haywire twist to the lure and swivel.
Has anyone tried slow trolling or pulling the Riptide 200 sinking 8" behind a bird?
