Look man... you are a damn facilitator. This has happened 2 times to me in the last 3 weeks.

I bought an electric smoker because of a thread in dockside

I just bought a gemlux steering wheel and thruhulls... because someone else asked about
steering wheels.

Now I am looking at new reels because the BFT are running in my area... you guys spend my money faster than my wife and daughter.

Yep you can never have enough Rods/Reels/Tackle. Just ordered a Penn Spinfisher 7500 combo off amazon on sale and some Braid because you can never have enough!

1st step is acknowledging the problem. 2nd step is trying to justify it to yourself. When I ask myself "wth are you doing you don't need that", I just tell my peabrain that buying high quality used fishing gear is better than spending $ on consumable or rapidly depreciating goods. Then I click "Buy it Now".

I had actually gotten much better as of late until PattyBoy got me for some $ last night, followed by a Connley Platinum rod at a steal, then figured why I was at it might as well go ahead and a lure off fleEbay for good measure.

Hi, my name is Andy, and I'm a tackleholic.

When I buy, it has to be in sets. If I'm being 100% honest, it bugs me that I have a matched set of Spinfisher V 6500s, with different color lines on them. Going to have to fix that sometime soon. Also just ordered 2 3500s and 2 4500s from the Amazon deal so I'll have sets, in the same model of different sizes. That'll let me sell off the mismatched 3000s and 4000s I have now.

There's only 2 combos I have that are not a set...My light 1000 size spinner for throwing soft plastics, and my Avet HX4.2/Star combo for grouper. Those are mine, and only the absolute closest of buddies gets to use those.

Yet after all this, inshore at least, I catch more trout on the pink Pflueger Lady Trion I bought for the fiance than on any other rod on the boat

Next BIG project is my tackle bag(s). It's a wreck and needs to be OCD'ed hard.

You done messed up now. You should've bought 2. Now you have 1 loner, and the next time you go to load up the boat you'll realize it's mateless, lonely, and a little irritating. And by then the amazon deal will be done and you'll be left paying full price for another just so you have a set of 7500s.

Every time I go to Seahawk I spend triple what I intended. I could go there for a pack of crimps and I'll walk out with 3 packs of crimps, 4 Islanders and God knows what else. I love that shop.

Thanks for feeding the tackle disease... just ordered the 35 to use as a bottom fishing rig in the Gulf of Maine. Now I just need to find a good spiral/acid wrapped jigging rod to pair it with.

Holy crap this thread will be the end of me.

(Ponders net cost of upgrading matched set from Pro Gear Oceanus 30's to Saltiga)

I need an internet/cell outage immediately.

These lures can be casted or trolled and they are very versatile. Check out the video

Just Hope that when you die your wife does not sell all your gear for what you told her you paid for it.

Hard to pass up a good deal. Even had to build a new bench in my garage for my gear. Gotta stay organized

Speaking of wives...

John finally decided to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend.

One evening, after the honeymoon, he was down in the bilge, setting the rack on his port DD 6v92 engine.

His new wife was standing there in the salon watching him.

After a long period of silence she finally spoke, "Honey, I've just been
thinking, now that we are married maybe it's time you quit spending
all your time down on the boat.

As a matter of fact, you probably should just consider selling all your fishing gear, along with this stupid Hatteras thing.

A horrified look came across John’s face.

She said, "Darling, what's wrong?"

He replied, "There for a minute you were starting to sound like my ex-wife."

"Ex-wife!" she screamed, "YOU NEVER TOLD ME YOU WERE MARRIED BEFORE!"

John replied: “I wasn't.
